What are you doing today hobbywise?

As part of my new Wild Hunt-themed Kastelai Dynasty Soulblight army, I finished moving some 18 of 19 second-hand dire wolves from the 25mm bases they came on to the small ovals.

Because some of the old bases were weighted, I was able to reclaim some 7 cents worth of pennies in the process.

I've just finished basing nine of my grimghast reapers (though I will prolly get some clumps of modelling grass sometime and make them a little more realistic), have done a bit of work on Reikenor and his winged nightmare (doing some transition shades of blue to dark blue, to dark green, to hexwraith green flame), and have been doing some basing and planning for my model of the month squig (decided to make life hard for myself and try and do a little OSL via a glowshroom.)

Searching for an Iron Daemon. If anyone knows where I can find one, please tell me...

Yesterday, I got some more paint on the dwarf arms. I have one more layer on the arms, detail work and touch ups, all the shields, and the command team arms. I'll probably be done in one more session. I also experimented with a contrast paint scheme for some Khornite Blood Warriors I got in the original AoS box. I need some figures for fantasy vikings in my D&D game, so I think these will work.

Recently bought about $900 retail worth of secondhand Tau models for $450, which included 2-3 fire warrior strike teams, an ethereal, a fireblade, a kroot squad, a battlesuit commander, three crisis suits, 3 stealth suits, a devilfish, a hammerhead, a riptide, a piranha, a load of drones, two remora drone fighters (FW), and a sensor tower (FW). So far, I've mostly restored the hammerhead (buddy had glued the sky ray missile racks to the rear thrusters while also gluing down the turret. It's still missing the nose-mounted weapon and landing gear), and have been able to pull out enough fire warriors and kroot to potentially get one or two units each (not sure what buddy was thinking with the new rejects that'll only be fit for paint testing). The piranha is looking a bit iffy with the thick paint job on it, and the devilfish may find itself be fit for a wreck scenery conversion.

As it stands, the only other models that turned out fine in the deal were the ethereal and the Forgeworld models.

Spent the better part of yet another duty watch putting together some 40 grave guard for my Kastelai Soulblight army (2 units of 20 each). Given the tedium of the old skeleton kits in general, I don't think I want to be building another skeleton infantry model for a long while, if ever.

I also took the time to assemble Beladamma Volga and her pet wolves. Apart from the hero rock, I haven't glued them to the base yet, since I want to be able to properly paint the model before putting it all together as one.

Now all that's left is one last unit of MSU blood knights and the dragon rider leading the army (his zombie dragon is already built).

they are not at skellies' level, but also those wolves come with an excessive amount of pieces to be glued together (65? 66?), especially considering that they are strictly monopose
