And then put up with NIGHTBRINGER's self-satisfied grin when he opens up 10 new accounts and pushes the story to victory anyways! ;) (lucky for everyone that I'm much to lazy to put forth such effort)

That would only target those that read the stories, not those that lazily peruse exclusively story titles. Something akin to cutting off one's nose to spite one's face. :p

Query for the curious at heart, do LO short story entries have to feature Lizardmen? And if so, to what degree?... (i.e. must be major character, minor character, simple mention, etc.). Has there ever been a story entry that purely featured other warhammer races without any reference/inclusion of Lizardmen? (@Scalenex , @Killer Angel )

The technically say that Lizardmen, Seraphon, Saurian Ancients, or Salamanders.

There have been alt setting stories with other versions of Lizardmen.

There are have been at least four or five stories where Lizardmen/Seraphon were conspicuous by their absence but at the very least Lizardmen are mentioned.

When Age of Sigmar was relatively new, there were a lot of stories where Seraphon essentially beamed down to save a random human village from something bad. I have seen a piece or two where humans died waiting for Seraphon to save them that never arrived.

I wrote a piece about a human protagonist that complained that after the Seraphon protagonist that complained about the Seraphon leaving a mess behind after

There were a few pieces from the point of view of the Old Ones themselves. @Warden really wrote an awesome piece from the Fimir's perspective fighting the Old Ones. Some of these pieces didn't even mention the Lizardmen directly but the Old Ones are big in Lizardmen lore of course.

People can and do write Lizard-free stories in the fluff forum in general, but not the short story contests.

I am retaking over the administrative role for the next contest, so if you can send me a new contest theme, I can post the next entry thread.
