what are the "drops" your army was refered to as a 19 drop. and i keep seeing that word used but i have no clue what the reference/meaning is.

When setting up to fight you take turns setting up units Each unit or battalion is one drop. The first person to finish setting up gets to choose who goes first this is a very big advantage. That's why I so many people want to have low drops. Seraphon can't really get into the one or two drop range so I just go the other direction.

It really is kind of a flex too with having the 110 I normally run with kroak as is until the rework it is a hoot to just drop 10 skink squads here and there and just looking at your opponent shaking their head

so 1 unit of 30 skinks is 1 drop? and like 2 blobs of 30 skisnks, a Kroak and a starpriest would be 4 drop?

Easy way to think about it is each unit or hero is a drop. The exception is that all the heroes and units that are in a battalion you've paid for can be placed at once, so can be one drop.

Good example is a slann/kroak with his 10 hp I mean 5 saurus guard

what is the issue with Realm Shaper Engine? is it just an auto include for any seraphon player? is there a cost to it?

That is a can of worms you just opened up, but as for taking it, if you want to use it, and are fielding a Seraphon army, you can take it for free.

Personally I will normally take it once I get mine painted just because I think it is a really neat model.

that is sad considering it's quite expensive (for a piece of terrain)

When i try to use Celestial Conjuration, do the units i summon require their points to be counted? either prior to setting up my army and/or when they get killed?

Also as i plan to run a EotG, same question for the chance of summoning a unit of Saurus Warriors.

I also dont understand much about this Starborne thing XD, id there a requirement? (required unit, points, etc) and it says my army Dracothion's Tail or Fangs of Sotek keyword and that i get to use the extra abilities further in the book. two of which are the previously mentioned DT and FoS but what about the other two? Can i have a Starborne Thunder Lizard army?

Thunder Lizards and Koatl's Claw are both Coalesced subfactions, while the first two are Starborne

Sorry to disappoint you, but new kroak model arrives in a month or so. I hope, your local group would be ok with you using old kroak as a slann after new model release.

You can make a solid list even without any slann at all. Just skink starpriest, priest and starseers as heroes could be enough. Obviously, it will be weaker against top-meta, but still very strong.

Bastiladons should always be with solar engine, but you don't really need three. You can run three, of course, if you are a big fun of bastiladons, but 2 is enough in most cases. You can make 3rd as Ark only for collection. It is terrible on table.

Make second stegadon a chief with a skystreak bow. You won't regret it.

Make terradons, not rippers, from flyer box. Terradons are way better. Sunleech bolas > javelins.

You'll need 3 kroxigors or a pack of salamanders/razordons. 2 bastiladon with solar engines are very strong with run and shoot. You will need a priest to support them and krolak to generate cp. Both eotg and chief are good as main monster. Give them cloak of feathers as a second artefact for battalion. Best spell for kroak to start with is stellar tempest. You can forget it if you don't need it later.

Yep, i think this covers all the bases for a skinks army

Sallies are great range damage dealers, but for melee you really want some kroxi, the skinks' best friends.
In a thunderquake, buffed by the starpriest venom, they are scary.

to quote myself:

Kroxigors are heavy hitters. save 4+, 4 wounds, move 8”, they are sufficiently though and fast; each one got 4 Maul attacks and yaws attacks, all of them with rend -1, hitting at 4+ (3+ if nearby a skink unit).
The maul deals 2 dmg, the jaws 1 dmg (with additional MWs for each nat. 6+ on HIT rolls)
For the sake of simplicity I will consider only the maul, but each unit should have also at least a moonhammer:
simplest build: 6 kroxi, 1 Skink Starpriest (360 pts).
1st step - use the Coalesced faction:+1 attack to jaws weapon.
2nd step - use a thunderquake battalion. Use the savage profile, add 1 to the number of attacks of each melee weapon (2). The total of melee attacks for each kroxigor is now 8: 5 maul + 3 jaws. 30 + 18 for the whole unit.
3rd step – have your Starpriest babysit them, to give them +1 to hit, serpent’s staff and magical support (for example: the endless spell Burning Head).
now your unit will have:
30 maul attacks hitting on 3+, rerolling 1s, dealing 2 dmg for each unsaved successful hit
18 jaws attacks, hitting on 3+
plus an average of 9-10 additional MWs.

Darn that blows.... i really liked Starborne... i read Coalesced and find it underwhelming... considering i wanted to do Thunder Lizards i feel like my dreams got shattered.
