If we're talking fastest ascension from new member to Slann, then it is definitely not me. If we include Slann to higher Slann ascensions then I hold that title several times over.

In terms of strictly new member to Slann ascension, @Lord-Marcus was really fast (don't let his current level of forum activity fool you, at one point he was averaging the second highest day-to-day post rate). That said, @Aginor 's ascension was even faster than @Lord-Marcus .

@Aginor joined the forum on Feb 16, 2017.
He ascended to Slannhood (as far as I can tell) April 3, 2018. That's the date when @Lord-Marcus congratulated him.

So it took him 411 days.


@Lizards of Renown joined the forum on Dec 13, 2019 and ascended on Feb 27, 2021. Which equates to 442 days.


@Bowser and @Lord-Marcus were both really fast, but I don't know their actual ascension dates so I can't compare them to you.



The very fastest ascension was my Quintuple to Sextuple ascension which took only 129 days :cyclops:. Followed closely by my other "recent" ascensions which took 161 days (Septuple to Octuple), 213 days (Sextuple to Septuple) and 235 days (Quadruple to Quintuple)
 
One thing's for sure, I probably have the lowest current new member to Slann ascension speed... :(

I enjoy being on this forum and do my best to provide great quality stuff, but I have a life in the real world to lead too, plus making and painting my models, a novel in the works and a lot of unofficial Warhammer army projects, all of which take up a lot of my time.

My current level of forum activity is predicated upon my business's level of activity at the moment. We're super busy....

I doubt that. There are a few of us that were members waaaay back in the day. I would imagine that @n810 , @Scalenex and I all took significantly longer to make our first 5000 posts.

For instance, I was a member way back in 2010 (long before we had the fancy version of the forum that we enjoy today). I probably had a couple of hundred posts and then I transitioned over to the Chamber of the Everchosen forum for literally years before returning back to Lustria. As a result we have:

the day I joined the forum: Nov 11, 2010
my first slann ascension: Aug 2, 2016

That works out to a whopping 2098 days!


If I had to venture a guess (without doing the calculations) as to which of our current Slann took the longest to reach their first 5000 posts, I would say it was @Scalenex . He joined the forum just a little bit after @n810 and myself, but didn't reach the 5000 mark until much later.

Agreed, @Imrahil is much more of a regular at this point in time - I am regularly blessed by likes from him which is evidence enough - whereas our Grand Skink Handler only seems to appear periodically to add some of his wisdom about AoS before going off to handle more Skinks.

Keep going @Imrahil my friend! If the luck of the Old Ones is with you you’ll soon catch him!

I would prefer to get toppled from the top tiers. I feel a sense of accomplishment when the forum as a whole becomes more active.

That said, I do get a dopamine hit from "likes", especially from my fluff pieces, tacticas, and world building thread.
