I HAVE THE POWER!!! (in terms of forum milestones)

Yeah, his posting rate is pretty solid.

It keeps me going while I'm in the no-man's-land of not being able to play 8th.

Although my wife is a quick learner... I'm pretty sure that we'll be able to do a proper battle (no assistance from me to her) within 2-4 weeks which will be pretty cool.

In the UK, it looks like (realistically) that it'll be 3 months before I can get back with any other friends for a game... :(

She's currently using my Lizardmen (her choice out of the DoC, OKs and TKs). I gave her a synopsis of each of them and she liked them the best ;) her favourites being the Skinks. Super-cute as she gets upset when they get killed off :D
This would make for a great opportunity for you to field your TK... help even out the odds a little bit.

Do you think she would ever pick up an army of her own?

This is exactly my idea :) We did one during one of our practice fights, but it's not the same. We'll get to that point soon and I can try out all of my wacky tactic ideas :)

We'll see. We've been over it and she just wants to learn how to play currently.

The funny thing is that she has never been interested in Warhammer or anything like that.

When her mother died of cancer (1 1/2 years ago) it was brutal. Single mother bringing up an only child, they had a REALLY close bond. They were more like sisters to each other. Her mother asked me to make sure I took care of her. So I did. With a vengeance. Fulfilling a dying person's request is something pretty deep and I took it really, really seriously.

She's doing a lot better now and our relationship is pretty flipping strong now. So much so that she wants to be involved in all parts of my life as my best friend which (obviously) includes Warhammer. She's quite determined about it, but the reality is (in her own words) is "it's like learning a foreign language." Which made me smile as it's actually pretty accurate.

So I'm coaching her through. I told her that the day we have a battle where, despite my best efforts and planning, she beats me in a unassisted fight would be a real red-letter day for me. She quite competitive so she's up for that.

Sorry for the diversion into heaviness, but I think that the actual answer is yes she will end up getting her own army. Maybe Wood Elves? Or High Elves? Something which has a lot of female characters ( :D ) and are good guys.

Don't push her too far, too fast or she'll throw in the towel on the whole table top gaming thing.

Maybe Wood Elves?
That's a finesse army right there. They can be extremely strong, but you have to be quite the skilled player to pull it of.

Or High Elves?
That will even the odds. If she plays High Elves (one of, if not the strongest army in the game) versus your Tomb Kings!

But the evil armies are so much more fun! !.png

warhammer elves are not included in my idea of "good guys".

All things in Warhammer are relative. Most things in Warhammer are a shade of grey.

Lizardmen are of course the only true good guys.

Lizardmen murder thousands and thousands of sapient beings to feed their giant snake god...for justice!

In a sense that is sort of true. All the Forces of Order armies have a Forces of Destruction equivalent except Lizardmen:
  • High Elves (Dark Elves)
  • Dwarfs (Chaos Dwarfs)
  • Wood Elves (Dark Elves)
  • Empire (Warriors of Chaos)
  • Bretonnia (Warriors of Chaos)
Lizardmen are the only race that has not fallen to the dark side.

We are immune to chaos
