Fair enough.
Personally I've never seen it that way. As far as I'm concerned, bring whatever list you like (as long as it conforms to the rules) and I am free to do the same. We can play hard lists or soft lists, either scenario is fun.
With this list in particular, I just don't see it as being all that scary. If things go great it has a chance of doing well, but there are a lot of ways for it to implode on itself, to name a few...
- panic the army (hellcannon, SSC, etc.)
- Kroak bomb all the fanatics out of the game with a single casting
- draw out the fanatics prematurely with a fast moving (and expendable) unit
- use to terrain to shield yourself (fanatics that come into contact with a terrain feature as removed from play)
- Entombed Beneath the Sands (or some sort of ambusher) to show up behind enemy lines
Once the fanatics have been released they have just as much of a chance of hitting his own lines.
