While not as professional as GW's stuff, I think they're sculpting is improving
it's a shame, they're one of the more interesting chaos races as they're one of the few to actually have a civilization and not just be hellbend on corrupting and/or torturing everything, what an amazing army…
they never gained the (quantity of) love they would have deserved.
That one looks amazing. The KO have fallen, all hail the dark father Hashut...

They most certainly cannot!
I award no participation ribbons! At least give them credit for actually trying
As for the price discrepancy between Mantic and Forge World, it is definitely very substantial. Everyone is entitled to their own preference, but personally I'd rather own one really beautiful model than ten not so beautiful models. Quality > Quantity
This is a reasoning that we can afford now.
Back in those days, when we were students and money were a problem, Mantic would have been the way to go.
I guess that comes down to personal preference. Even back in the day I would rather slowly build up an army that I find aesthetically pleasing than buy a heap of models that I don't care for. Mantic just doesn't do it for me. I don't like any of their sculpts. For me the quality > quantity equation has always held true, even when I was a student.
I agree, it comes down completely to personal preference. Heck, I even acknowledge the fact that some people might love the Mantic sculpts and not consider them sub-optimal at all (regardless of the price).I see both the approaches as valid.
