I’m pretty sure he still survived both blasts, just perhaps not in the way the meme said. It's still true that the men survived both the bombs.
He was an engineer working at Hiroshima; he was wounded but he was able to return to Nagasaki to report to his superior, and so he was there when the second bomb was dropped .
