What are you doing today hobbywise?

Yesterday I put some effort into my Orruk Bloodtoofs.

And I did give it a try
Let me know what you think(Basing still to be done, pictures are not taken by natural lighting...)

Today I am reading a lot in the Lizardmen army book(shown above)
Liking what i read, much more(interesting) backstory then the AoS Seraphon Battletome.

Had a couple of Warcry games on Monday with a local gaming buddy, using my Corvus Cabal and all-melusai Daughters of Khaine warbands.

My Corvus Cabal aren't faring well in their attempts to win the second convergence battle of their quest line. Previous attempts at the scenario, whose objective is to kill a fighter of my opponent's choosing by the end of Turn 3, had me trying my best to take down his Splintered Fangs' prized chimera - a feat I almost accomplished. Their second attempt was against an Ironjawz warband with the target being a warchanter ally, which also resulted in a loss.

My DoK fared a lot better. Whilst their first attempt at their first convergence, whose objective is to take down my opponent's "dagger" (warbands in Warcry are divided into three groups, defined as "dagger", "shield", and "hammer"), was met with failure, coincidentally at the paws of the same chimera from before, their second attempt against his Cypher Lords went by so well that I actually won a game against him for once.

Bought some green stuff yesterday. Very interesting material. Sticks to everything. On the other hand patches the holes in joints perfectly. Especially when you want to sculpt up some missing scales on the model.
Also trying to pick the best pose for cold one rider. Not an easy task. Cold one's head is definitely made to annoy even the most patient Sauruses from time to time. I think that might be the reason my lizard cavalry underperforms sometimes during their assigned battles...

I did paint a great part of my Megaboss' armourplating in the base layer.
Figuring out how to randomize the colors to the best result.

Finding out the correct amount of water required to thin a Vallejo paint to a wash where its still a wash, but the paint don't separate from the medium or a mix of paints don't separate from each other.

Reading about the Ogors got me thinking of an idea, but it would require a lot of kitbashing to create some monsters.

tell me more... :)

When I read the article about them, seeing about the Butchers and similar units, it made me think of them with large meat grinding monsters that crushes bone with ease. They say about the monsters they have but they mostly have Stonehorns, Thundertusks and the Giants. Thinking of kitbashing on making these nightmarish monsters, they probably got from the dark depths and having Butchers/Maneaters alongside.

So, finished highliting the metal parts on my varnished Gloomspite models and Skinks. Painful experience (hate metallics)

Made a yellow bulldozer costume out of cardboard for a friend's graduation, now i desperately want to start Ironjawz.
Guess who just got a start collecting ironjawz for 55 euros?

Nice catch though:cool:

Any spares left?

I tried progressive highlight technique on a saurus shield yesterday and loved the result. Also found the right amount of water to make custom washes ^^.
Today I will be applying the technique to the Saurus scales and hopefully only few days will take me from completing my first cold one rider.
I'm so hyped to finish this model. It was and is a joy of practice!

Did some shading on Arkhan's armor, and a few highlights on his mount's claws.
