AoS 2k kroak/slann tournament list that has done well

I thought I'd post my list up here, I've had a few people ask me about it on various forums. I've had a lot of success with it in local tournaments

The list let's me get max conjuration points a turn, meaning turn 2, I am bringing in usually an Oldblood on carno or bastiladon depending on what is needed kroak is a monster that makes his points back almost every time when he is throwing all his spells out, can can pretty much solo nurgle daemon lists, but backed up by the eotg 6-9 laser, not much makes it to my from line of skinks. I usually drop my rippers down turn 3 to kill something I need to take on a point and I always put my toad on an objective unless I am bringing them down turn 1.

It's sacrificing a few bodies but doubling the chance to eotg summon and laser. I feel like this list will do wonders. I've only lost games when I am exhausted and make mistakes (like not remembering kroak with fly can see over sylvaneth trees). Feel free to try it out or discuss with me always love finding ways to optimise
 
That second list looks nasty, I bet you don't make many friends with that list.
 
Thought kroak was pretty much no fun as his main spell is hard to cast

Do you cast the balewind with the Slann for extra summoning or Kroak for the extra range?
 
Balewind and cogs on the Slann and start summoning a big guy every turn from turn 2. I summon cogs with a star priest though and get slann to use

Astro range plus rolling 10+ usually gets me all the range I need as I push up with kroak, I play very aggressively but have a skink screen or 3 lol
 
I would have thought it best to cast BV on your Slann, have Kroak cast cogs and then leave your Slann to summon whilst Kroak roams around dealing mortal wounds to people.
 
Makes sense. They really cool lists, would love to try them out myself :)

So if you take two slann you get +1 to casting? Or are you refering to the constellation? That will obviously only be the case if you roll a 3-4.

Yeah, the constellation, if you don't roll it at the start, you can change it on a 4+, so it's not the most reliable thing
 
Yeah, I usually stick with what ever I roll at the start, it's more about maximising the + to cast, I've usually been OK with a +1 from the Astro, sometimes I'll only get off 1 or 2 off his celestial deliverance though
 
Played this list tonight against flesh eaters and it was VERY fun!

Had to proxy the cogs as I dont have one but I totally want to get the magic box now!

Turn 1, he kicked ass! Comets left right and centre dishing out mortal wounds like they are going out of fashion. However, turn two I made a mistake and left him open and he died!

Would 100% field this list again and stick a skink shield on him
 
I just made a list like this with 2 razordons instead of palisade. How often do you find you need it?
