I think you’re right and it’s one of these Vex things.

This new game is only going to have one or at most two characters from any one faction though? (Because it’s basically a Warhammer Quest game re-skinned to 40K.)

I disagree here - the accompanying video displays multiple tripods as the inhabitants of the fortress and although it’s extremely unlikely that they would have a full faction release this year, I’m convinced they may well be releasing a small number of them in the game as a tester, to see people’s reactions towards them, and then if they become popular we may well see a whole faction of them come out next year.

Yeah that's a bit too absurd for me.
Even more so than a lot of GW's 40k stuff.
(And that's coming from the creator of Skink Capybara Riders. )
