AoS Made to order seraphon GW

Well, finecast is a kind of resin. There are others but AFAIK the only one GW uses is the one they call finecast.

I would almost bet that they are resin.

From the last made to order things I bought I would say that anything which has only ever been in metal still seems to be metal when they do made to order.

Correct, they use the same moulds as original so the models are always what they were first produced in, if a model has been produced in more than one material they will usually use the latest mould.

Ok, so those might actually be metal?
Hmmm interesting for me then, as I have never painted a metal model so I'd like to try that.

Any idea on the cost of these yet?

Hmmm both have draw backs lol,

Metal - you touch or move the model and bam it’s scratched and you see shiny metal under all your hard work.

But resin...4 hours of shaving down the mould
Lines only to find every sticky-out-bit is wonky and can never be strained again :D

mwha, metal with varnish isn't too awefull. Especially on smaller models like this. It's not like it's a giant dinosaur that's inevitably going to be bumped into things.

Probably going to order the Prophet. Nice model.

I cant see them... are they regionally locked? Im in the US.

Strange. Yeah if I pick US in the country menu I can't see them either.
German site has them.

Oxy is resin, the other one isn't specified.
There seems to be a consensus that while fine cast and "resin" are both resins, fine cast was a blend that gave very brittle and unpopular models, while the more modern "resin" is better. I just got a Kaptin Baddruk and it's quite nice in quality and sturdiness.

I'm OK with metal, being a Sisters of Battle player, just have to use varnish and a playing mat rather than solid board to avoid accidental diving into oblivion :)

So glad I didn’t bow to temptation and get Oxy of ebay, £10 is a bargain

I am pretty sure I will order Oxy and perhaps the Bretonnian King.

So, can I ask a possible total noob question.

Is it possible to use these models with a seraphon army in AoS? If so, where would I get the point value of these models?

They won’t have match play points, I’m going to use Oxy as a chamo skink so he just falls in with the unit price, Tech you could use as a Skink priest

They have rules, but no point values, as they are meant to be used in narrative /open play. I'm sure some tentative, player-proposed point values will pop up online in due course to accommodate them in friendly matched play games :)
