AoS Made to order seraphon GW

I called to check on mine and it hasn’t crossed the relevant ocean yet.

Pleasantly (somewhat) surprised to hear they are shipping metal. Will be extremely chuffed if the King is metal.

My shiny Tehenhauin arrived today!
Super happy to have the metal model.

Me too!
I fetched mine from the store today.
Nice models. But smaller than I thought, especially Oxyotl.

isn't he the same size as a normal skink chameleon?

I don't have official chameleon skinks so I don't know how big they are.
But oxy is pretty small. On first glance I would say is actually smaller than a Skink.
I'll compare them when I am home.

Just put it next to a chameleon, it's slightly taller cuz it's head is bigger. Not by much though.

Yeah I don't know what I expected. Probably the size of a Skink Oracle or a Starpriest, because he is a hero.

The Prophet is around the same size as a Starpriest, but Oxy is in fact smaller than a regular Skink:

Also wtf the Prophet has an _enormous_ base!
I will probably magnetize him to be able to set him on a 25mm or 32mm base and play him as a Starpriest.

Yea, I'm kind of surprised it doesn't have any additional skills to warrant such a massive base.

I'll use him as skink priest, sticking with his square metal base ignoring the gargantuan round plastic nonsense he's provided with.

Mine have just arrived. What tips do you have for working with metal?

It’s harder to see mould lines on metal so assemble then spray prime lightly then clean off the lines.

Use a 2 pack epoxy glue like araldite to stick him together

Once it’s primed it’s exactly the same as plastic or resin

Why not superglue?

Super glue is fine but I find if you use a 2 part glue when you push the parts together you don't get the joint line as the glue acts as a filler.
