Any other Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes players out there?

Have you seen Bossk is on the way? I’m really hoping they’ll make him really easy to upgrade once the marquee is over as I really want him for Credits Heist and Training Droid Smuggling as it’ll give me a good chance of throwing out either Boba Fett or ST Han who I really don’t enjoy using.

How come you don't like using them? Is it the mechanics or is it to do with the fact you dislike Boba as a character?

A bit of both. ST Han is really boring to use as a character and Boba isn't that fun to use either in my eyes - certainly not compared to a character like Bossk. Also I think Boba is highly overrated both in the game and in the fanbase - it's the lore that powers him up as the best bounty hunter ever yet in the films he is pathetic. I never like to level up characters I don't like - it's a waste of my resources. Most of the characters in my inventory that haven't been levelled up very much at all are like that because I'm not interested in using them, although some of them are like that just because I haven't had the time or resources to level them up.

Bossk’s Profile is up!

I’m surprised they didn’t make more use of his grenades or anything like that, and also that they’ve made him more like the Legends Bossk who was as cruel as Bounty Hunters get, rather than the Canon Bossk who was an honourable fighter, but I love his second special ability - I think it’s really ‘Lizardman’ if you get what I mean.

Predictions are that his marquee event will appear on May 4th, along with reworks for several of the major Bounty Hunters (Boba already got a rework before so his new rework isn’t very much, thank the Gods, whereas I’m pleased to see IG-88 and Greedo have become more competent as I’ve got both of those and enjoy using them).

Looks like we're getting another Han and Chewie. I do believe you can now make a squad entirely out of Hans now

What do you think of the new update? I think Ships 2.0 is pretty bad - Reinforcement abilities are nice as they especially buff Clone Sergeant’s ARC-170, but Endurance has been nerfed beyond oblivion and the new 3-ship gameplay is much more difficult than 5 ships.

Also what do you think of the new Solo characters?

I don't like ships 2.0 either. I feel like I might lose quite a few spaces on the leaderboard. The Solo characters are alright, although with them being introduced with Marquee events you can't really do much with them. I'm intrigued to see what the Ship battles will be like though, and what they'll add to them to make them worth doing

Agreed on Ships 2.0. Reinforcement abilities is the only decent thing about it.

I like Marquee events as it gives you a chance to use them and then get the character to upgrade yourself.

Yes ship battles will be interesting but there won’t be much variation on the capital ship unless they bring more out. Still waiting for Invisible Hand and GG rework

I think the Malevolence would be the best ship for that. The Ion Cannon would be a great 'Start on cooldown' ability for it

I know you do prefer the Malevolence, but I’m not sure if as many people would know the Malevolence as it was from the Clone Wars, while Invisible Hand was from Revenge of the Sith, which all true Star Wars fans should have seen, and thus most if not all players would know Invisible Hand. Remember my idea of a profile below?

Primary Ability: Shell Driver Cannons - Deal physical damage to target ship. This attack ignores Shields.
Special 1: Signature Masking - Give the target ally ship Stealth.
Special 2: Adaptive Stratagems - Give all allied ships Counter for 2 turns. Droid and Separatist ships also receive Dodge Up and 2x Critical Chance for 1 turn.
Ultimate: Buzz Droid Swarm - Inflict Buff Immunity on all enemy ships for 3 turns and dispel all buffs on them.
Reinforcement Buff: Foresight

The shell cannons would make a great and unique basic that ignores protection like Nihilus’ basic, especially against the tactic where you’ve just got an enemy ship down to a tiny bit of health and then Jedi Consular and Rex use their abilities to regenerate the ship’s shields but not their health. That extra protection wouldn’t matter against Grievous and would be great to see the opponent’s reaction when killing their ship with Grievous’ basic, as those protection regen abilities would have just been wasted.

Also is it just me or shouldn’t Anakin have had a ship by now? He certainly should have got a Jedi Starfighter before Ahsoka, as he’s not only a better pilot but a much better character overall.

I suppose you could argue that, but I'd never heard of Darth Nihilus before they added him, and how many people do you think know Ima-Gun Di? Being from the Clone Wars didn't stop them from adding him, and with the Invisible Hand, personally I think more people would know one of the famous ships from The Clone Wars TV show, which had three of the first episodes devoted to it, then that more forgettable ship that (If I remember correctly) wasn't named at all on screen, and had no real memorable aspects than being the ship where things happened in. Your profile is pretty good, but I still think the Malevolence suits the game better. Of course, we could just meet in the middle and have General Grievous's ship be the Soulless One instead :p

I agree, seems odd that arguably the galaxy's greatest pilot is yet to have a ship yet. Han Solo also needs the Millennium Falcon, something I'm definitely more up for now I've finally unlocked him! :)

We could give GG his Starfighter instead, but who would then be the Separatist Fleet Commander? Probably either Nute Gunray (with a Separatist rework) or Count Dooku, both of which would arguably be less thematic as a commander than Grievous. Besides in the Invisible Hand you did get to see its shell driver cannons firing in a shot of Episode III, which would contribute to the profile. Additionally while the Malevolence has an ion cannon, we already have Tarkin’s Ion Cannon Bombardment ability on Executrix. In fact Executrix is from Rogue One (the star destroyer Krennic is transported to to meet Tarkington while the Death Star’s dish is being put in) and isn’t specifically mentioned name wise, so that wouldn’t stop the devs from using Invisible Hand.

However, perhaps you could have two Separatist Fleet commanders, Grievous with the Malevolence and Nute Gunray with the Invisible Hand, as the Invisible Hand belonged to Gunray before it was transferred to Grievous’ command. We already have two Imperial Fleet Commanders, so I don’t see why you couldn’t have two Separatist ones accompanying the rework.

You mean you’ve unlocked Raid Han now? How did you do that? My guild tried a 7* Rancor and couldn’t beat the damn thing within the time limit. At least the Milennium Falcon does exist in the game (albeit piloted by Rey and Finn). I suppose they could do Han’s Falcon as a ship you need to get in an event like Thrawn’s Chimaera, or they could have Young Han and Vandor Chewie Pilot it.

I've just managed to get into a really good Guild. They're so good in fact, that they have a 24 hour no damage peroid for heroic rancor because a lot of the members could finish it just by themselves, and they need to give people a chance to join the raid before it's finished. To be honest I feel a bit like a hanger on, although I don't feel quite as bad now I have my Kit Fisto over 14000 power

My guild’s OK in terms of competence except that I’m probably one of the 3 active members and until I can get Jyn and Baze to 7 stars I can’t use my full Rogue One team against the Rancor. However, once I do get them there they will be great in Rancor Raids. Luckily I’ve managed to 3-Star Light Side node 9C with an allied CLS so I can farm Baze shards a lot more easily now.

According to AhnaldT101, Embo has arrived to Galaxy of Heroes! I’m excited about this as he’s the first Prequel-era character to appear for a long time, and may well trigger the rework of all the other Prequel-era hunters like Cad Bane and Zam!

The only thing I am not too keen on is the idea of Embo being a Dark Side character in GoH - he was quite rightly Light Side in Galactic Defence as he helped the Jedi defeat Hondo Ohnaka’s pirates, if I’m right.

Agreed - while it is nice to finally have him in the game, it's wrong that he is Dark Side - he's always been more of a heroic Bounty Hunter than the others. Having him as that would also have the interesting effect of a Light Side Bounty Hunter too - allowing for more cross faction synergy. Also, it would mean that some of the other Bounty Hunters from those episodes - like Sugi, would have to be Dark Side too or have severe continuity problems, and even if Embo is Dark Side, to have Sugi as Dark Side would definitely be wrong for her character). The other thing I will likely be annoyed about is that presumably he won't have Marrok with him (if he does, I might be able to forgive them for making him Dark Side. Might.). It's too awesome a prospect for them not to have his pet Anooba in game too.

I also agree it would be nice if Cad Bane and some of the other Prequel characters got a rework - it could be that I've just not upgraded them enough, but they don't seem that great to me. Surely the character rated above Boba Fett (the traditional choice) on Starwars.com top bounty hunters should have a set of abilities to show for it!

Just seen his kit - for crying out loud EA, you could have at least made it true to his character! Wrong side, no Marrok and abilities that don't really reflect his character very well. Yes I'll probably end up trying to max him out anyway as he remains one of my favourite characters, but still, come on! At least there's Kit Fisto who's abilities and design actually reflects him well. My favourite character is still intact
