That trailer got my hopes up after the disaster that was TLJ, this seems to be in the same bag as Rouge One and I liked that one.

Not too much of a wait now. We'll get to see it soon... but first we have Infinity War!

yeah, the new "trilogy" doesn't meet my tastes, while the first movie of the series "...a SW story" has been really good

It certainly seems similar to Rogue One in scope - "I'm putting together a crew!" - except that these chaps will be more Scum and Villainy and less Heroic Freedom Fighters, which will be an interesting new dynamic. Also I like that they're going to delve deep into the Star Wars Underworld in this one, as you see in the first few seconds of the trailer, which really fleshes the Galaxy out. It's almost a 'Necromunda meets Star Wars' kind of film.

It also looks as though it's going to be set years rather than hours before Episode IV, which is a nice change, as the TIE Fighters look strange as if they're the prototypes still to be perfected.

Did you notice that Chewie hugged another Wookiee? Could it be one of his relatives? If so, that would really help to flesh out Chewie a bit more, as well as the whole Wookiee race, as I don't think we saw that much of them in III and in Episodes IV-VIII the actions of a single individual don't say that much about the race they're from. Chewie's a legend, for sure, but I would like to see more Wookiee culture, personally.

I meant in a better way than they did in the Holiday Special - a less musical way. Besides, the Holiday Special isn't canon, so they can do something completely different with Chewie's family in Solo if they want and it'll probably be better.

I figured as much!

One should hope so!

Anything would be better. They could make Jar Jar Chewie's son and it would be better.

What if Rey is Chewie's son? :D

EDIT: That would also explain why there was a cut in the scene when Maz Kanata asks Han "Who's the girl?" as he immediately after that says: She is no girl but she doesn't know. She even passed the Voight-Kampff test!

which is funny because I just combined two Harrison Ford movies into one. :D
