I'm working on movement trays for round bases for my basing supplies business. Would you use them? Currently looking at groupings of 4/5/6
Mine are textured. Also they come in a variety of configurations, some of which I've never seen available commerciallyA lot of companies make trays, do you plan on making yours different or special in some way?![]()
That will be tonight. With one of the fairly standard configs, frankly.Sounds marketable, Post some pics when you get a prototype ready.
Nice.
Must be said that when you have to move around 100 models, trays are a life-saver.
They really are. Not too severe for my 60 Skinks as those aren't in melee usually, I just use a piece of cardboard...
But the 100 Skeletons...
1 depends on how many you buy.Probably not worth it to send them to Germany though, would it?
My main gripe design wise is that I would like to have the bases as close to each other as possible, because for example Skeletons can hit with their third row, but only if their bases are basically touching each other.
I don't understand why your units would look like snakes? Although that would be very lizardmen like now that I think about itThey look awesome! I wish I could use this for the 90 Skinks!
But each time my units of Skinks look like giant twisty snakes and never got the same shape...
Sure, that would work. But I would like to avoid it if possible.
The other thing I am still thinking about is style.
My Seraphon have dirt/gras bases so I would consider having trays fitting to that, and my Skeletons have winter bases.
So for me plain bases without a lot of texture, or movement trays with a "dirt" or "sand" texture would be ideal since I have the same texture on all my bases, just with different stuff (gras or snow respectively) on it.
As for the number... right now I would need 30-40 trays that can each fit 5x25mm round bases.
At Fantasywelt.de I can buy six (made of HDF, without any texture) for 5€ so the 40 trays would cost me around 35€.
