No one is obligated to use all their votes. I've polled this and straw polled this in the past. Most fluff forum regulars seem to like the one vote per three entries thing we have going.

If popular opinion changes, I can change the rules in the future.
I would have done four votes but due to failing to pay attention I only selected three. I just stopped after three out of habit.

Last minute voted pushed our four way tie to a two-way tie between “They Came Upon a Midnight Clear” by Imrahil and "The First Return" by Aginor

Honorable mention to Infinity Turtle who for the longest time made up two of the four poems in the four-way tie.

Good job everyone. No stinkers in the bunch.

I could be talked into doing these contests more often, but my educated guess is that twice a year is appropriate for L-O poetry contests with roughly two month entry periods and three week voting periods.

The next poetry contest will occur around the Summer Solstice. Praise be to Chotec and Huanchi.

Well, despite the low amount of votes i received for my poems, l still had fun conceptualizing and writing them :). This contest was probably the tightest one i've seen so far, and everyone did an amazing job; well done!

Shhhhhh...... Nobody will ever know..........

Well, given that I'm not a poet, i'd say my result is not bad at all. :)

You also justified good thread necromancy on the seasons discussions thread which spawned a spinoff discussion on Black Arks. In a way, your poem contributed to the fluff forum more than any other.

Thanks for the votes!
I am happy that you liked my poem. I rarely write poetry and I usually only use simple rhymes, especially in English.

It was fun to write, too. Thanks for making those contests, @Scalenex! Without them I would not even consider doing stuff like that. :)

Congrats Aginor with the joined win. If only I would have voted for myself aswell ;)

I liked writing the poem, Love that you guys liked it.

but when I tried to sing it out loud to the tune of "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear" it was very bumpy.

Yeah that's correct, after entry closing time I thought of doing the syllable count. That would have taken it further.

Thanks for voting.
Looking forward to the next poem Contest(as i am not a skilled story Writer)

Gr, Imrahil

Congrats to you, too!
I like yours a lot (and voted for it. Didn't vote for my own, that's bad form IMO. I'd rather be last place).
