Welcome @Dragonfire

please, feel free to ask me for speed painting suggestionsI don't think I ever posted anything beyond a general "hello I'm here" in the new members introduction forum.
I'm Christopher Rowe. I live in a hundred plus year old house in Lexington, Kentucky, USA, with my wife, novelist Gwenda Bond, a cat, and three dogs. All of my housemates are too smart for their own good, if you ask me.
Like my wife, I'm a full time writer. Together, we write the Supernormal Sleuthing Service fantasy series for the eight to twelve set. It's published by HarperCollins, and book one, The Lost Legacy, just came out in paperback this week. The second one, The Sphinix's Secret, will be released in hardcover later this month.
On my own, I write science fiction and fantasy for adults. I've been a finalist for the Hugo, Nebula, and World Fantasy Awards and I'm a member of George RR Martin's Wild Cards consortium of writers, producing superhero stories for books like Low Chicago, which is also out later this month, I believe. A collection of my shorter works titled Telling the Map was released by the "small but mighty" Small Beer Press last year and got some great critical attention.
I've also done some fiction and game design work for RPG publishers. I wrote a novel in Wizards of the Coast's Forgotten Realms line called Sandstorm, I've written a short story and done design and editing for Paizo's Pathfinder game, and I did some design for Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars RPGs.
While I've been collecting and building models for Age of Sigmar for a couple of years now, I'm still new as a player and painter. I had a huge April painting wise (for me), painting over 50 models, or about a quarter of my total army. I don't think I've hit double digits in my number of games played yet (though I have to be close now), but I've won my first three battles in an ongoing four-week Escalation League I'm playing at my local Games Workshop location. Right now I'm trying to figure out my 2000 point list, which I was originally planning to spend May painting, but now I've decided to throw my Carnosaur in the ring and have a go at @Lord-Marcus' Monster Mash competition, so I might just paint one (very large) model as well as I can instead of a whole bunch of models as fast as I can.

I'm Liam Morgan, a 25-year-old electrical technician in the Royal Canadian Navy, currently serving on the West Coast. I'm originally from the Ottawa region - born and raised - and this past Easter marked the start of my fourth year of living in Victoria, BC as part of what has now been eight years of military service thus far.

Taken before heading out to the UN cemetery in Pusan, June 26, 2017.
I've had my hands on scale miniatures for as long as I can remember, courtesy of my father, with my first finished model, a diorama of the first lunar landing, completed when I was 7. My main focus since then had been on tanks and WW2 aircraft, a trend that continued somewhat after having a hand-me-down box of 3rd-ed Space Marines dropped in my lap not long after I turned 11. I have a little bit more to say here on how I got into Lizardmen at the time, but suffice to say that it's lead me places.
With the addition of Google keyword searches for Lizardmen back in the early to mid-00s, D&D 3.5, and Morrowind, I became more than familiar with the Furry Fandom over the years. Whilst I still have my reservations towards being around those more inclined to spark up drama, I've met more than a few upstanding individuals, a few of whom also being Warhammer fans.
Think I'm a fan of two certain franchises?

Outside of military duty, my hobbies range from reading and writing to kayaking and martial arts. I've also had my hand in playing some pen-and-paper RPGs (Dungeons & Dragons 3.5, Mutants & Masterminds, GURPS; have looked into "After the Bomb", "Only War", and Warhammer Fantasy RP), and I'm particularly fond of playing strategy games on both the tabletop and the computer.
Apart from here, I can be found at the following places:

May spoink rest with the old onesI'm not sure if it is because i feel that you should know or because i need a medium to vent my sadness, but as of today, Spoink, my beloved chameleon, has passed away.
He was diagnosed with cancer a few days back, and there was nothing i could do but wait and see what would happen next. There was a chance he might make it, but not even he could best it.
Spoink: devourer of grasshoppers, walker of hands, frightener of dogs, friend and the best chameleon ever.
May spoink rest with the old ones
He was always part of the great plan. He has simply moved to the next cycleHe is part of the great plan now.
He is part of the great plan now.
Shame to hear he has passed, are you getting another?
I think were getting a beared dragon at christmas
Thanks! I've been around the block for the better part of a decade myself, though it hasn't been something I particularly care to talk about outside of a few social circles. I tend to drop some hints here and there once in a while, but nothing overt.@ChapterAquila92 Hey welcome to the Furry Fandom! There are def plenty of good types and I know a lot! (Besides myself of course!)
