AoS Which units vs this chaos list?

Hey all,

I have been playing most of my games versus a friend that plays the slaves to darkness army and adds in up to 2 warp lightning cannons and a chimera. Beyond that he plays some chaos warriors and many chosen.
My question is what units should I play to win against his units. I love the temple guard with eternal starhost but the mortal wounds from his chimera, chosen and those damned cannons are murdering me. He is using a unit of chaos warriors to stand around his cannons so the rippers coming in cant get into base contact. We usually play something like 1500 points.

I just started playing AOS but having trouble finding things that work for me that dont get murdered by those three threats. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Drop all the Guards, use instead warriors, buffed by your general
If you want to keep the shadowstrike, use rippers on the chimera and chama skinks to kill the crew of the cannons.
Then insert your own shooting, impervious to mortal wounds (bastiladon) and support it with the starpriest.
