What the Mahrlect are you doing DC?

This article did not kill me, it just hurt me very badly.

I like superhero movies a lot. I even enjoyed Green Lantern (a little bit), but needless to say I'm skipping this one.

I had heard a while back that they were considering casting Leonardo DiCaprio in a Joker movie, shame they couldn't pull that off. Oh well, they'll just have to learn the hard way. If you don't give the fans what they want, you won't make the money you are hoping to make (Solo, Ghostbusters, etc.). The MCU is a billion times better anyways!

Did he get killed off somewhere in Episode III ? Off-screen?
He is alive as far as we know.
He appears in one of the new books as a poor, sad children's entertainer on some remote planet.

Indeed, it's a parody of his standing in this world (i.e. he entertains children but is hated by adults who blame him for the rise of the Empire, although it was clearly Padme's fault for calling the vote of no confidence to allow Palpatine to become supreme chancellor in the first place - they just don't like to admit it). It makes him more of a tragic character, indeed like he has become a tragic symbol in this world.
