What have you eaten/baked/cooked today?

That sounds and looks very delicious!

Grrr, !mrahil
In reality, it needed more of both additives. I was being light on ingredients deliberately as this was an experiment.

It was still tasty, but was just shy of "yum."

Peanut butter bread, Dylan holis recipe with added cocoa powder.

Verdict: I think I used a tad too much cocoa powder, but it's a serviceable tea bread. I can certainly see making this in a loaf pan with better measurements and maybe chocolate chips.

Or something else if less sugar is desired. I also didn't have a loaf pan, so had to compromise with a square baking dish.

A French toast breakfast before the first day of league gaming.

750 points, so may wrap up quickly, but still.

Ricotta cheese and pepperoni bites. That's Pillsbury crescent dough because I'm lazy.

Teaching myself to cook, Valentine's edition: steak, mushroom and swiss on sweet bread.

Steak seasoned and lightly rested while I was cooking the mushrooms.

I also made a garlic and pesto aioli. Which unfortunately melds in just a bit too much, and I'll probably skip it next time.

Chocolate chip and oat pancakes.

These were made Saturday and have since been devoured.

Made pork dumplings/potstickers today.

I'm definitely doing these again. They came together very easily. I did a bunch in the air fryer and some in a steamer basket.

This was part of my personal initiative to learn more in the kitchen/cook more at home.

Notes:

I underestimated how many pounds of pork would create.

Squares came together tighter than triangles.

First time processing ginger root from raw myself.

Still on a soft food diet 'cause I'm still healing from dental surgery. For lunch and dinner I ate salads of lettuce, avocado, soft corn, chopped tomatoes, cheese and spinach as well as medium rare steak and rice. For snacks and breakfast I've eaten cereal allowed to soften to mush in milk.

Cuban carne pastelito inspired hand pies. Dietary requests required no chunks of peppers, so I improvised with spices and mixing in chorizo to a 90/10 ground beef. Also I caramelized by diced onion.

Biscuit dough and and egg wash.

Finally, a peach dump cake for dessert.

I will be image dumping next week all the amazing food that I have been eating during my emergency stay in italy (family emergency, we've been here 2.5 weeks, should be flying home this weekend.)

But just a random note:

Hot sauce at mcdonalds in italy is a rather "medium" level of heat picante sauce.

I never expected that.
