Title should be self-explanatory. Thread for discussion about food, culinary arts, baking, eating and enjoying, and most definitely pictures!

Speaking of, I made my first air fryer meatloaf yesterday. Sauce is a barbecue based mixture that is one of my roommates recipes.

For anyone else vegetarian out there, I can recommend rubbing a sweet potato with olive oil, cooking in the oven, then serving with sour cream and guac.

Add some black beans, cooked with spices and onions on top.

Pretty nice and it's a supergood so you get tons of nutrients.

Weird typo. I'm vegetarian.
Good... then hopefully I haven't offended you with all my vegan memes over the years! ;)

It has a little story.

My wife's mother died of cancer. They were a little vegetarian team and had been all their lives. She'd never tried to pressure me into being one, but after she had the loss I switched over as an act of solidarity.
That's quite touching. I very nice gesture on your part. I'm sure your wife is appreciative of the sentimental meaning behind such a heartfelt lifestyle change.

Not to worry... all the memes are focused on the vegans anyways! :p

I am a vegetarian too, and no you haven't offended me either. I see vegans as a mad extremist cult amidst the vegetarian sect anyway, and wonder how on Earth they can get all the nutrients to survive just by eating vegetables (and how their stomachs can take all that abominable green food :wtf:) so seeing memes that take the mickey out of them specifically amuses me greatly.

And that meme you've posted there is golden, it pretty much sums me up. I'm a big cheese eater, and wouldn't abandon it for the world - got to keep those bones and teeth strong!

Mushrooms, onions, port wine, butter, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, reduce until onions are caramelized and mushrooms take on a burgundy color.

Serve with pasta, on burgers, etc. It's an excellent mix

This sounds pretty good.
It is exquisite and I highly recommend it.

Basically you have to stand over it for 30 minutes while stirring, but that effort is rewarded.

It's also certified amazing on steaks and burgers.

If you don't like port, or would like a different, deeper profile, you can use Marsala.

Adventures in cooking part.....5?

Potato wedges in an air fryer. Currently soaking.
