What are you doing today hobbywise?

Are they as obscenely costly? I kept my old Lego sets from when I was a kid for my kids and when I mentioned them a few collectors I know got excited and tried to get me to sell them. I play wargames people! We don't sell unless forced to. My youngest is just getting old enough to play with them so he'll be getting them. If I can get blocks for cheap I can help him play but Lego cost way too much for what you get, IMO.

Well, here's the thing. So far, the three companies I have checked out are reasonable in price compared to how pricey Lego has gotten. Don't get me wrong, I like Lego a lot, but they're pricing a lot of people out of their market lately. Of the three alternatives I've tried, one doesn't include any minifigures, the second only sometimes includes them, and the third makes their own version (which may not be the best for small children - an adult WILL have to assemble them first). Pricing? First company isn't bad, second company (no minifigures) is very reasonable, and third, I want to say costs about half of what Lego does. Would you like me to make a topic for my reviews? It wouldn't be much of a difficulty for me. I'm kind of reviewing them for a Lego discord page anyway...

Always fun to see! Go for it!

Amen!

(unless you're one of those people that buy an army then after a while they sell it to chase another project)
We had one guy in our group like that. He had a lot of money and wasn't attached to any army. Whatever was the "best" army at the time was what he played. He'd pay someone to paint it so he would get high marks for painting in the tournies buy once that list wasn't dominating he'd sell it off for a new one.

Back in the early days of Mordheim (the original), I had quite a few war bands but one of my favourites was the Nurgle circus. I just liked the whole storyline behind them, a diseased travelling troupe, possibly infecting unsuspecting townships with their Nurgle plagues whilst hiding behind the guise of putting on a show for the poor people of the towns and homesteads.

Anyway as a big Blood bowl fan I am always looking for another team to collect and whilst I already have the GW Nurgle team, I really like the plague carnival team from Punga. So, whilst still unfinished, here is what I have completed so far. Also attached is an MDF wagon that I recently painted up for my Mordheim warband so I will use it as a prop for the BB team as well.Big guy front.jpg big guy back.jpg Nurglings.jpg Bloater 1.jpg Bloater 2.jpg Bloater 3.jpg Bloater 4.jpg Hood.jpg Jester.jpg Presenter.jpg

Father Nurgle would be proud of you! :)

All I can say is that Professor Screweyes would probably like some of those performers to add to his Eccentric Circus...

Punga miniatures painted by me. I can't remember where the cart came from. You are welcome to share them.

Well... today is the first of four days I took off for my birthday on Saturday. I have been working on my backlog of Ironjawz minis, building Brutes. I hope to finish those, my new-sculpt Ardboyz, and another biggie piggie before the weekend is done.

However, as always, life throws a wrench in my plans. Or in this case, a plumbing wrench. My kitchen sink suddenly stopped draining. Can't say I'm surprised. I have never had to do much to it in the 13 years we've been in the house, and there's probably a layer of rice and potato starch stuck in the pipes along with some rice that snuck down the drains as well.

So for my birthday tomorrow, I get to walk to the store for drain cleaner and hope that it works, because I REALLY, REALLY don't want to take that drain assembly apart on my birthday... but I will probably have to, because that is how my luck works. :meh:

I feel your pain. We had a broken pipe that a plumber found while doing something else. Replaced pipe and now I just use vinegar and baking soda every now and then to clear the pipes. Good luck!

Rejoice, for the bottle of Drano Max cleared the kitchen drain! Had to leave it sitting in there for 45 minutes, which is about 15 minutes longer than the bottle said it should, but at least I don't have to take the drain apart! HUZZAH! :D (also, is it sad that right now, this is what I wanted most for my birthday?)
