What are you doing today hobbywise?

Ordered a conversion kit to turn a 30K Malcador into a Rogal Dorn tank stand-in... which the kit seller is calling a MalcaDorn. I love everything about the idea.

Also ordered some Stargrave sprues so I can turn Frostgrave Gnolls into a beastman venator gang for Necromunda...

assembling my band for a game of Trench Crusade.
Go Iron Sultanate!

Well, I no longer want that Gitmob army box that GW just released, because I now have it. Went into my LHS to buy a box of Weirdbrute Wrekkaz and some paint, and came out with a box of wolf-riding grots instead. :banghead:

I have no willpower. :D

I do like that they give us the option to use Rippa's Snarlfangs from the Underworlds series as a special Gitboss and retinue unit, though I will need to rebase mine to the right size (easy enough, I'll just stack the bases). Really tempted to just pull all of my wolf-riding goblins from my Orcs and Goblins old world army and use them for AoS, but I should probably keep those armies separate... :meh:

I do love these new sculpts...

Nice!!
May I ask you what is Lustria? Is like an ambient book? I tried to found it online as pdf but it's the only one I miss so i have no idea what's inside

It's basically a supplement that provides rules and scenarios for fighting in the Lustrian jungle. It also includes two new army lists -- the Lizardmen Red Host of Tehenhauin and the Skaven Bubonic Court of Nurglitch -- and a new special character for each. There's also a complete campaign system, with detailed background.
At least, that's what i know, this weekend i'm gonna read it. :p

Well I've started on my 2nd set of 10 Saurus cavelry. I can never decide if I want to run them as Roughriders or Deathriders. The claws rule for Deathriders is great but Roughriders are so much more flexable.
I still need to get the exploding spear tips I designed for them printed. Also some more radio antenae for the leaders...

Also for fiction writing purposes I have been reading more Temple of the Serpent (Thankquol goes to Lustria) and the last Seraphon armybook. Gotta learn more about writing Skaven and lore on temple ships.

I've been humming and hawing on whether my Old World Empire army could have some knights styled after the Teutonic Order. On the one hand, the Teutonic Order was a German exclusive knightly order, so that should be a good match for the Empire, right? On the other hand, the cool winged/horned greathelms that I like about them? They gonna get those knights mistaken for Bretonnian far more often than I would care for.

I suppose I could swing it narratively... claim that the founder was a bit of a Bretonnian fanboy and tried to make this new knightly order based on them to a degree...o_O

It is a nice book. Managed to snag a copy at Half-Price books 7 years ago to replace one I lost years before.
