What are you doing today hobbywise?

Doing some 40k stuff. Repairing admech & tau models, building a trio of heavy necrons destroyers
 
Um... I did something kind of stupid on ebay and now I have a THIRD Chimera coming for my Beasts of Chaos... I'm going to have to do some conversion work to make them each look a little different...

You traded the first two for the third one and then put the third one on Ebay only to buy it again starting the cycle all over. Pretty smart if you ask me. :pompus:

If you have somehow ended up with a third I say that's cool :D

um, I think you got that backwards. I bought one new, bought a second one for moderate price on ebay, and then bid on a third on ebay and won THAT... so now I have three
 
Done my first proper miniature print on the 3D printer with some good results

Meanwhile I've been trying to figure out a goal on how many miniatures to paint before the end of the year, I currently have my eyes on the paint stations done by Frontierwargaming and well thought on making a goal to paint a set amount of minis before I buy, as something that my mum suggested also. Problem when I feel like I need goals in order to make progress. Also cleans up some of the sea of grey before late spring when I will print miniatures more often as it's hard to regulate the shed.
 
Converted my Engine of the Gods back into a stegadon, both it and my Troglodon are waiting paint. I just need to prime ONE skink for the Stegadon's howdah... but I'm playing a game of 'introduce the new cat to the old cats,' and it is eating up a lot of my free time :(
 
Another weekend duty watch again, so it's hobby-time at work!

This time it's getting a squad of firedrakes painted up for an upcoming 4k 3v3 Horus Heresy game next weekend, along with a legion champion (buddy with the sword) and a legion herald (buddy with the standard). They will be accompanying Vulkan in a Spartan for that game.

I also worked on a new Sicaran Venator between the 10th and Remembrance Day, intent for the same game.

Bought a secondhand Bastiladon on ebay today. Laser-crystal only, but I am okay with this, it is still one more Bastiladon than I had before (and since I had NONE before, this is a good amount of Bastiladons).
 
I was celebrating, for the time of gold once lost has been reforged.

AKA Box art and painted examples of the new skeleton cavalry and chariots set, which for legal reasons I'm sure they could not name "Skeleton Horde, the second."

Seriously, this is literally the best kit of the elder days of undead reborn.

I'm buying ten for myself. Time to reinforce the legions.

Oh, and I also am working on a monochrome scheme for both skaven and stormcast. I love my custom stormhost, but I want to play with color concepts.
 
Well, my secondhand Bastiladon arrived today. I love the paint job the previous owner did on the shell. I'm going to repaint the skinks to match my army, touch up a few spots, and redo the basing to match my army, and I might add some bone hints to spikes and claws and stuff, but otherwise I'm good with the current paint job.

Also ordered a few things off of evil-bay for my Gloomspite Gitz army. We shall see what comes from that.
