What are you doing today hobbywise?

The shed is kind of up and running now, was desperately needed because everything just be chaos at the moment.
But anyway WIP on a Archvillain Games model. Practice on some lighting and all, a little scared to touch with the airbrush for the flame glows as the colours are looking great... Well apart from the moment the paint decides to clump up, it's always the Citadel cream colours.
Also some of the World of Twilight minis in the background. Too many deadlines to work on.

Huh, interesting... did not recall serpent-naga being in WFB back in the day...

The first appearance of Snakemen in Warhammer Fantasy was a few metal models back in 3rd Edition, called Chaos Snakemen. Though for a long time they were ignored since then, a project has been in development by some fans to create lore and unit ideas for the Hinterlands of Khuresh, a landmass that has always existed in Warhammer lore but GW did very little with. This new project revives the idea of Snakemen in Warhammer Fantasy, based upon the concept of them being mutated Lizardmen that have long since abandoned the Old Ones and killed the Slann that ruled over them, and have since taken control of the human population of the area to use them as slaves, sword-fodder and laboratory subjects.

It's a great idea and has great potential for an army list.

With regards to modelling them, all you need are some of those Daughters of Khaine Melusai and the North Star plastic Snakemen and you'll be able to convert some great-looking Khuresh Naga!

Waiting on a miniature to arrive in the mail for another contest. The other one I entered have not really had acknowledgement, well unless I read the post wrong but I did not see my one in there. Won't really know till actual winner announcement, not even a like from them on the Instagram post.
Got to get my head out that hole of thinking, at least it's nice knowing the model is liked here.

Still on the fence on about major Warhammer thinning, mostly because it's still the thought of "When will I get to do a game? Or even go down to the Warhammer store?" I'm not an evening person and I don't go out at the weekend. I am focusing on building a Khorne daemon army so it covers both settings, even though I have Tzeentch but I have a personal dislike towards Horrors, I like Tzaangors more.
I enjoy painting more display pieces that is either really low count or single models.

For actual progress on things, not exactly a miniature but been airbrushing a poseable T-Rex. Still applying that basecoat as getting into all the joints is a task. Might be able to remove the lower legs but I can't do the arms and upper legs I think.

For conversions into Skaven/Skaviir? :beaver:;)

Ding-ding-ding! We have a WINNA!!! :D

Yes, they are donor parts for my Rat Riders (Rough Rider stand-ins). I have the mounts and the heads, I needed torsos, legs, and lance arms I can attach sticks of dynamite to. :D

but... it may be a week or two before I start that conversion, despite those Fireforge Northmen having arrived this morning... for something ELSE arrived...

And i'm sorry, but my childhood is telling me that THIS has priority over damn near everything else until it is built. This is, for those who do not know, the re-imagining of a Lego set from the late 80's. I was 11-ish when Lego released the first line of sets for their Pirates theme, and really into a computer game called The Ancient Art of War at Sea, so I'm sure you can guess how 11-year old me felt about pirate-themed Lego sets. I got every set from that initial release line.

Except for one.

THIS ONE.

Well... the original of this one, not this remade version. I'm not paying $300+ on ebay for the original, especially since this is in the same line of concept, a lot cheaper than the ebay prices, and BIGGER than the original.

So yeah, I'm going to be a little busy reliving my childhood for a few days. :D

Ah, I picked up some cultists from the secondhand cabinet at my LHS... only to discover that I've got three each of the same three sculpts :D Not entirely sure what I'll do with them. Might convert them into hobgrots, might use them as Blood Reavers in a Blades of Khorne force. Who knows?
