What are you doing today hobbywise?

I starting adding stones to my Bull Centaurs bases and tidied up all of the grey drybrushing overspill onto the black armour pieces.

They're ready for final drybrushing of the armour and other details, while it's gonna be Astrongranite on the base to prepare for more fallen ash.

Finished the weapons for four of five Frostgrave Knights. The other one is going to be a musician or standard bearer, so he's waiting on bits I don't have with me. I also painted my first terrain piece and glued together another one.

Put the next layer on a couple pieces of terrain, then plowed through some skaven I had sitting around. I'm trying to get stuff off my table so I can get on to my next project, whatever I decide it should be.

I am almost done with the warpriest on horse.
He is highlighted and almost all washes are down.

Grrr, Imrahil

So that was 10pm -6:30 AM today, with a 3 hour nap in the middle.

This morning I've removed sprue gates and cleaned a mantic games Abyssal Chroneas for my commission client. That includes mold lines, flash (not the worst I've ever seen, not the best either)

WGA Conquistadors and I'm guessing WGA Late Romans - the latter I assume for your alternative universe Ancient Europe with the Romans having future tech?

WGA conquistadors at the back, i did one frame of them. 2 frames of Gripping beast saxons with WGA late roman heads (and the occasional spatha to fill in for the saxon hand weapons lack of full-box-coverage on sword arms.)

There are 5 perry agincourt french on the right, with wargames atlantic conquistador heads.

These are actually a morphology/offshoot of the guild myrmidian project. Initially, that project was going to use Wargames atlantic conquistadors, Eisenkern, and several kharadron overlords ships.

As it happens, a confluence of factors added to that. I've been selling partial sprues in lots on miniswap and other forums because I really need to clear out excess sprues. I've got hundreds and they are taking up way too much space.

A gentleman by way of "Araden" on facebook started a project when the conquistadors came out to see how far he could stretch the sprues and clear out his backlog of minis while also creating a homogenous force. I've decided to emulate that here. the bits may be different, but the plan is to tie everything together via color scheme and work out lore reasons later.

I have poached a photo from aradens facebook page to give context. see below the quote.

Didn't expect you to get into Mantic's Ratkin range, but then you do have some Skaven already, so those will give some more variety to your horde, yes-yes!

Skaven were my first army. I always circle back to them, it just takes me time. I've been wanting to see mantic's ratkin in person, and my stock order from Mantic provided the opportunity. Expect a review sometime within the next week. short summary: They are decent, but I've noticed two disturbing trends in mantic's recent minis.

I had a completely well oiled post written out, complete with all the bells and whistles and all the formatting.

Then I had a network error on the machine that I was typing on and I've lost all of that now. I will retype it later but here's the cliff notes version:

Confluence of factors caused me to start building a kitchen soup Army out of historical miniatures. I'm doing a bunch of conversions because why not.

Inspired by this guy araden on Facebook. Context photo below.

Got some wicked photos taken by a friend of my Taur-ruk and Bull Centaurs for the Chaos Dwarf Online painting contest.

Gonna send them in tonight!

In other news, I'm now planning out my conversion of a Chaos Dwarf Siege Giant.

I brought my Astorum titans to a really enjoyable day of Adeptus Titanicus at a local event.

Three games of 1500pts each. I lost the first game hands down, losing all of my titans to knights and a melee reaver from a Legio Mortis Ferrox Maniple. The second was much closer against a custom legio (even ran a warlord titan across the board over the course of two turns), though I lost by 5 points on the primary objective of having titans near the opponent's board edge. The third game however - against a Legio Solaria Mandatum Maniple - was an overwhelming victory at a crossroads.

Overall, I won 9th at the event out of 16 players through points accumulated over the course of the event.

Sadly don't have photos of my games, unfortunately.
