What are you doing today hobbywise?

I'll be doing my best to pick up the pirate-themed models from Punga Miniatures at some point, likely in STL format to print.

Is this the vampire team? They look so good. Going to have to print my Leprechauns one of these days.

Oh, Punga have more than just Vampires for fantasy football team models. I'm eventually going to phase out my current Skaven team models for their Pi'rats, and they have announced a pirate-themed Halfling team either in the works or already available in STL format.

It's going to be a bit of a running gag in my group, and not solely because I'm a Navy man myself.

Okay going though a little more thoroughly, the Pi'rats are super cool, but I do prefer the Rat Ogre in the old timey diving suit from the cursed team. May have to look a little closer at these guys once I am done with Necromantics and Modded Lizardmen. Although I have the full Leprechaun team STLs, which may end up being it's own project. They kind of work as a catch all.

lets see:

Painted two test halberdiers for the Guild Myrmidian.

Made substantial progress on the first 10 Cuextecatl warriors from a unit of 20.

Currently printing some 10mm skaven rat swarms for myself. I limit what I print for myself currently. I don't normally give myself a full bed, and add a model here and there when there is room on a build plate. If I have to justify them, at least I can say they are for store photos.

I also just cured a 10mm plague priest for myself to lead said rat swarms (for the moment, more hopefully sooner rather than later. depends on my mood and honestly if i have the capacity available.

I have build another tent today and started numbers 3 and 4
hope to finish those this weekend.

I also started painting some scenery pieces, might finish them today.

ohhh...
3d printer? they seem good.
A buddy piqued interest and offered to print off multiple fleets for everyone in my little gaming group. The files he has access to are really high quality, and came out really well on his resin printer.

As it stands, my fleet consists of an Eclipse-Class Battlecruiser, two Lunar-Class Cruisers, an escort squadron of 4 Sword-Class Frigates, and an escort squadron of 3 Firestorm Frigates, all coming to 980pts after accounting for Astartes crew on the cruisers and an Astartes Master of the Fleet. In essence, a lot of lances. I may expand this collection to include a Dictator-Class Cruiser-Carrier for fighter screens, but the prize will likely be a battleship of either Apocalypse-, Desolator-, Retribution-, or Victory-Class when reaching for 2000pts.

Speaking of, I got to play two games with this fleet today. The first was against a carrier-focused Word Bearers fleet, as a bit of a lesson in ordnance along with being my first game of BFG ever. The second was against an Eldar fleet to physically demonstrate why my opponent won't be breaking them out of storage very often (I had been forewarned about the prospect of it). Lost both games, but I enjoyed them enough to consider continuing with it.

I finished another 2 sets if fences and started a base layer on the 3 tents I created.
Hopefully I can finish those this weekend.

Finally got my order of pyroclasts and Proteus-II Pattern missile launchers today, so I started building a missile heavy support squad for my Salamanders.

And here's both the squad fully built...

...and a legion champion and master of signals I built right after.

Now onto a squad of Pyroclasts...

Not doing much, but I picked up Perilous Dark, Joe McCullough's Frostgrave book on solo wargaming. I'm hoping to put some time into converting one of my favorite roleplaying games into a miniatures game, including converting one of the mega adventures into a solo or coop campaign.
