What miniatures are your opponent using? They look like Warlord Romans but seem to be entirely red - were they painted like that?

Yeah, they're Warlord Romans. The guy who owned those particular models was not the same Roman player I played against previously.

In that case, a narrow defeat with no shame in it. The Dice Gods were unfortunately against you this day, but your brave warriors live to fight again another day

It was pretty much agreed that had it not come down to that, I would have won the game hands-down. It was pretty much a Pyrrhic victory for the Roman player as it was.

I got some painting time in last night. I finished basing a Deep Cuts catapult for use in Oathmark. I painted a Perry Brother's Agincourt Foot Knight, mostly as a test paint scheme for using dry brushed metal, contrast paints, and layering. Finally, I worked on a shadow warrior for my Free Cities army, again to nail down a paint scheme for them.

I finished gluing the last of my 21 (!!!) Tomb King chariots last night, as well as finally managing to stick on my Bloodthirster’s arm which was being a real ball ache.

Now I have to confront fixing all damage to the skeleton legions...

Yeah!

Admittedly, some of the Ebay purchases I made seem like Vampire Counts chariots (boooooo) but I’ll use them as proxies.

My idea was (since I can use them to pay core tax) is in the next game against WoC, I’ll have three units of 7 and just ram the mahrlect out of his units. No marching? Fine, I’ll do normal movement of 8” then.

Well, chariots are pretty good, so they're not exactly a tax… but of course, they're not exactly cheap, and bows are good too.

Gluing together the damaged Tomb Kings models that I bought from Ebay, who evidently lost the battle with the Postman.... Not a good start for Nehekara....

I can take no credit for any of the painting.







Two of the models now glued together. The little bits are really annoying to glue. Probably my most hated part of Warhammer.
