Today i was scheduled for a 40k apocalypse.

Which would be truly nice, but it happened in the worst possible moment. How am i supposed to analyze our shiny new warscrolls?!?

Been enjoying playing my first few games of SPQR today and last weekend. While it has needed a few ‘house rules’ devised to sort out grey areas, it is otherwise a really fun and fast-paced ruleset.

I've been building the SC Syvaneth box.
Making 16 Dryad's(what a pain in the ass are the sprues of this unit...)
And making the Treelord so that I can use him as all variations.

Almost done!

Went to GW to work on a melta support squad for my Salamanders collection, and instead found myself teaching a couple of newcomers how to play 40k with the models they both got out of a Dark Imperium box set.

I went on a bit of a painting binge, largely focusing on applying green to a 10-man Salamanders melta squad for 30k. Because I neither have a functional airbrush nor did I borrow a local buddy's, I did the quick and dirty method of spray can, starting with a Chaos Black base coat, followed by a Caliban Green pre-shade and a Tamiya Light Green highlight. The end result is close enough to that of the rest of my collection that you really have to look closely at the model to see the difference.

I repeated this same process with Adrax Agatone and some Firedrakes as well.

Speaking of Adrax, I've also gotten started with painting his base separately, trying my hand at lava effects via layering. I still need to get a few more paints, especially since the only yellows I have are contrast paints and shades, but it's coming along so far.

One bonus of Coronavirus - if my work closes down - will be the time and ability to non-stop paint minis.

I mean, it's a small consolation prize for having to use PTO or not getting paid, but still.

Currently out and about, but will be working on imperial guardsmen and other stuff later today

I bought the warscroll cards, the Battletome and the pyramid today.

Reading the lore now. Nice so far.
The German translation is OK and it has considerably less errors than the last one. The first typo is on page 21 as far as I can see. Not bad for a GW product.

Painted another couple of modular trenches for 40k
updated the tutorial for the new Seraphon battletome

… with coronavirus our gaming shop is closed so i'm kinda stuck home

Picked up the Battletome. Also picked up several key paints.......Just in case.
