What are you doing today hobbywise?

I’ve just looked at that and it looks great, although are you going to give it any arms? ;)
Hopefully soon. It will be a hard conversion (for my limited skill level) because I want it to turn out really well. I have some ideas!

Also I’m assuming the legs are from the conversion kit? In any case, where did they come from? They look so much like a classical statue’s legs that they look really fitting as a Heirotitan lower body.
The conversion kit was made specifically to be used in conjunction with the left over Sphinx bits. I got it as a Christmas present. I found it at:
https://hexy.store/miniatures-upgrades/1340-colossus-legs-conversion-kit.html

I see that now. Perhaps some Kurnoth Hunters would be more fitting as Tree Kin proxies? I mean, they look about the right size and they were done in the style of the plastic Fantasy Treeman so wouldn’t look out of place. I’m sure that some appropriately-sized wooden bases would be pretty easy to make.

They must have got lucky wound rolls against a Toughness 8 Necrosphinx!
I agree that Kurnoth Hunters would be a perfect fit. Making wooden bases would be really easy.

In terms of the death of the Necrosphinx, after killing the dragon the two riders fled and I pursued, but rolled extremely poorly. The riders got away and I was charged next turn by the Treekin and as you said, a couple of lucky 6's and it was all over.

That’s a pretty nicely-balanced game - were the Wood Elves using their 8th Edition rules? If so, it’s nice to see that the last Army Book ever written was a well-balanced one.

Yes, she was using the 8th edition WE book. It is a pretty potent book in my opinion, although it is more of a finesse army. In the right hands, it has to be one of the best books in 8th edition.

I've already got my next army list set up for an eventual rematch. Actually I have two slightly different versions of the list, although I am leaning heavily towards one of them.

Messing around with some spares at the moment and it's a mix of I love it and hate it :D Maybe once the greenstuff has been added it will look better

Not only did I build and prime a high elf archmage for a tabletop RP campaign, but I also got two AT-scale warhounds mostly built while spectating someone else use my warlord in their first proper AT game.

Today a 1000 pts "sort-of-tournament" at our gaming shop.
the idea is to bring lists moderately strong, representative of the potential of the army but easy to play.
Each player exchanges his army with the one of his opponent, explaining how our list is supposed to work, then we play using the opponent's army.

The idea is to play different armies than the ones we own, and see if we can think "out of the box" with the borrowed armies. :)

On Friday @Mesandres and me did something similar.
He played my 1500 points Deathrattle list against an experimental list of my Seraphon.
It was a close battle, as I played Kroak and totally failed to kill his heroes. A lot of bad casting rolls.

We had a good amount of fun. :)

Built a Carnifex last night with Enhanced Senses, two twin Deathspitters with slimer maggots and spore cysts (debating whether to add a tail weapon just in case). Hopefully this one will do well. Next Carnifex will have a cannon.

That’s more like it! Hopefully that’ll help you wreck your opponent’s Imperial Guard better

Hopefully, or the possibility of Orks. Trying to find the page in one of my White Dwarfs showing what to use against other armies. After some reading around I found that some Orks can be nasty when in combat.
I was in the decision on taking the Deathspitters or the Devourers, thing is with the Devourers is having less range, more shots but less in the strength and that. So went with the Deathspitters, only 3 shots with the one pair but the strength, range and AP is there.
Now it's deciding the build for the cannon one, could be the same with the Enhanced Senses and Spore Cysts

In a game i've commanded a Khorne list.
I played tactically and cowardly, going for objectives.
I won the battle, but i don't know if Khorne has been pleased... :p

During today's session of my RP group's Warhammer Fantasy campaign, I continued kicking ass with the high elf wizard in melee combat against some beastmen, being responsible for taking down an ungor, a gor, and a minotaur in two blows each with his staff. He was hit only once, by the gor.

EDIT: A fairly accurate portrayal of what happened:

Decided the build for the other Carnifex, similar build to the other one but with the Scything Talons and Stranglethorn Cannon. Could of equipped with a Heavy Venom Cannon but I recall my Harpy and possibly another having one.
Gone back to the Egyptian theme with them, using the inspiration from one of my Wadjet sculpture I have, they are even called Hive Fleet Wadjet. Mostly using the colour schemes from the sculpture, which are mainly turquoise blue and red. Should really run a more serpent-based army with Raveners and that but it can fit for all.

I'm fighting Nurgle in real life (stupid flu…)

and in the meantime, I'm thinking on how i can repair my kharadron frigate (snapped flying stand)

Get well soon!

About that frigate...
It depends a bit on how the base looks. I've seen cool stuff, including cotton wool clouds hiding a steel rod (base style was cloudy skies) and a KO air ship stranded on a rock.

Today it was the birthday of a friend of mine that remains true to 8th edition.
So, as part of the feast, another guy challenged him to an old WHFB battle. Orcs vs Empire... a really close battle with many losses from both sides, and a hard earned victory for the greenskinz.

Now nostalgia is filling me and i am pondering to play a game myself.
Settra rules!

Got the BattleForce in the mail today, the battalion is a bit meh. It's just reusing the 'The Trap is Sprung' rule, reroll hits and wounds of one against the targeted unit.
