What are you doing today hobbywise?

I couldn't decide so i've tried to cover a few bases with the models I have.

I love Arkhan so that was easy, not keen on zombies easy again, vampires are cool as, so few of them, the new book gives you loads of scope to buy what you like and play it.

Whatever I get is being painted mostly spectral anyway... Though vampires and such might have be riding on spectral mounts and not spectral themselves...

I've got a game next Friday with what I have, so I'll see how it feels and decide what to get after that.

Same here the Spectral theme is just to cool not to do it. :);)

Oh and we want pictures and a Batrap, about time you did one me thinks

Sounds like a lot of effort, I barely remember what happened last turn let alone remembering what happened for an entire battle...

Lol you light weight :D
But seriously, do people actually remember the whole fight and who attacked what and what killed what?

I legitimately cannot remember who died last turn, let alone recalling a whole battle.

And taking notes while playing sounds like a massive ballache to me...

Pictures say a thousand words ;)

Thanks
Well last game I had I got sat on by tanks, either by the tank themselves or the crew jumping out and shooting (Imperial Guard) Hopefully the Exocrine will be useful next time at blasting them to pieces. Kept missing with the Biovore though, although I blocked their way with the spores that missed haha
I will admit, I love my exocrine. It does a great job of taking care of anything a decent save. I'd also recommend trying out a Tyrannofex. They do a similar job, but are a little more versatile. Good luck.

Dealing with tanks has been a perennial issue for Tyranids since at least 3rd when I started playing 40k. Back in the days when our most powerful gun was the venom cannon and it only allowed glancing hits. Basically, in practice you were more worried about preventing them from moving and shooting than with actually blowing it up at range. You could kill almost anything in close combat.

Yeah just had a look over the Tyrannofex and one of it's weapon choices is evil. Well the kit choice for the Exocrine is either that model or Haruspex.
Problem is my opponent knows his Tyranids, kinda spoils the whole surprise while I only know that small bit of IG

Got my Haruspex/Exocrine in the mail, turns out you can get stuff delivered to home through a GW local store, quicker and also benefits that store still.
Got no motivation for hobby today though :(

Today is nothing due to prior commitments

Actually gathered the mental strength and put the Exocrine together, as usual the gaps on the pipe-looking pieces on their carapace. Might go onto building the Gors next, also doing some hilarious photoshop-ish (using clip studio here) work on some ideas that may not happen.

Still painting this Ordinator, he has so many details it's crazy, then the whole highlighting blue and white on the armour same as my Chaq'Kai.
With recent look at the Forgeworld monsters, it made me remember the old army plan I had for Destruction. They were nicknamed 'The Fishermen'. Having a Forgeworld Merwyrm as a centre piece. It has a mix of destruction models to fit. They are found in the murky swamps.
There is a few problems though:
1. It will look a bit strange cause of the variety of models, I may have to find a way to blend them together, maybe replace all the heads with maybe the Beastmen skulls that can be easily found.
2. The lack of synergy will be there, if I ever to plan to play with that army.
I maybe to doing a mix of drybrush all over most, gives them the proper dirty look compared to highlighting normally.

Prime cobblestone order
Glue toppers on cracked earth order. Make toppers if needed
12 small bags tourney prize support
Pickup materials from ptovider
Work on the 2 new orders with the new material

May go by my FLGS to pick up some paint. Not sure if I'll get any painting done, but we'll see. I got some base coats onto a couple Skaven yesterday.

Work went well on basing orders last night. I'm catching up.

Today I'm going to keep at the grind, hopefully get some time in for skeletons, and check out the bonefields Kickstarter even if I can't pledge.

Had no motivation for painting or building today, so have been sorting through the miniatures I don't want. Need to open the space up a bit for more miniatures. In a debate whether to get the Savage Boarboyz and Thundertusk or get a Lord of Change, it would also be a third choice if I know the exact size of Morathi for a conversion, then I still don't know about spending £80 on her just for the base/tail and snakes... Could use the wings for something.
I did got showed a size chart but I still can't work anything out from that, I need to know the size of the tail.
Got an email also that they sent out my Merwyrm, will be a while before I get that because of the snow.

Finished two of the five Skaven in the Shadespire warband. Hoping to get the rest done by the end of the week because after that hobby time will be a bit iffy for the next few weeks after that.
