...actually the Guard has four or five main chassis variants. Chimera is most of the artillery and oddball stuff, the 'Russ is the main battle tank, there's the Dorn and the Malcador for the mid-heavy, and the Baneblade and Macharias for the super-heavies.

The Guard does not have this "Dorn" you mention. That(IMO) abomination is all Astra Militarium.

The bigger problem is that you have to put in more effort to make the Dorn fit in lore-wise than GW ever did.

Inside the orc on wyvern mini the join area for two main body parts has a skeleton sculpt. You'll never see it once you assemble the mini but it's there. It honestly made me sad to glue the wyvern together. We don't get that anymore.
