Maybe we could have... if the Warhammer TOW logo was placed on the Arnold side and the AoS logo was on the Carl side. ;) You can't put one over on the Meme God that easily!!!

We still don't know if that would be the case, as we don't know how TOW will really be.
Once Carl / WHFB was top tier, but now?
AoS / Dutch could be really:

This is true... but I will not accept a truce that leaves my side at a disadvantage. Especially when talking about a war of memes!

WFB ran from 1983 - 2015.

That is 32 YEARS!!!

When AoS surpasses that mark then we can talk (unless of course TOW turns out to be the natural continuation of WFB, in which case it begins to add to the 32 year total).

P.S. Thanks for the setup... I was all out of TOW/WFB vs. AoS memes! :D

Noooo, that would have been the Historical Wargames companies in the 60's and 70's. WFB was one of the first fantasy wargames out there, but the industry DID exist prior to WFB.
On a very small scale, but the industry is was pretty much non-existent. The wargames that we know and enjoy today are a result of WFB. WFB was the breakout game that really initiated the creation of the industry, reigns which would eventually be overtaken (and still owned) by Warhammer 40k.

AoS and 40k still carry WFB's Warhammer name.

...eh, can't argue against that. You're not wrong, and I do kind of miss ranked units. There was something satisfying about having a big block of Dark Elf Cityguard hold fast against pretty much anything that attacked it. Prior to that several smaller games existed, but the market was mostly Historical figs back then, and WFB kind of took the bar for miniature sculpting and gave it a quick kick to the crotch to get it moving to better things...
