I agree, this lore is fascinating! Where is it from?

An undead empire built around believing they are the long-lost descendants of reptilian warriors, now disfigured by time but still wearing a mockery of reptilian skins and stone/bone weapons.

Cool stuff, someone should write a short story about it so I can read it
