With Warhammer Forge now formally announced, we can expect Forge World type models (both large and small) for each army at some point or another.

Now so far no Lizardmen have been shown, but with Lizardmen being notably popular it's only a matter of time until we see some resin dinosaurs coming our way

So really what would you guys like to see? And what do you expect to see coming from Warhammer Forge?

Personally I'd like to see a Coatl, Arcanodon and some kind of large Therapod and possibly some form of Razordon sized mount for a skink leader

And I'd personally (though I don't think this'll be popular with the lizardmen fanatics) a Thunder Lizard

a Thunder Lizard

If you read the book a thunder lizard would probably be 4 feet tall and and 8 feet long(to scale). It claims it doesn't even notice when it destroys a temple city as it is just "passing through" and it is all the mage priests can do to try and divert its path.

While hilarious, I don't believe they have a practicable gaming application myself.

As to what I would like to see: New salamanders or perhaps a carnosaur( I would love one that worked like the DE hydra)

I hope that we get a new Slann model. I know we have one, but I don't like it very much.

Then how about they use a juvenile or a smaller subspecies about War Mammoth size? There's plenty of ways of making one without making it tpp enormous

There was a 'toad dragon' on display. With 2 head variants. It looked pretty cool.

give us some long range firepower. some strange ancient magical machine (like EOTG) with a 48"-60" range :)
may be mounted on some kind of a horrible dragon turtle or so... :D

Not sure if GW are planning one but i'd like a 'proper' mazdamundi model. I'm not the strongest when it comes to conversion work and would love to get my hands on that model.

Also i agree with rolfgar about getting carnosaurs that are encouraged into battle like other hunting pack animals, but instead of skink handlers, use saurus.

Some long range weaponary options for stegs would alos be good.

just my 2 cents

:)

This just in......

The first book features the expansion of Nurgle into the West; Nurgle WoC, Chaos Dwarfs, Ogre Kingdoms and Empire.

The second book concludes the Nurgle expansion, and has some Dwarf models

Second expansion is Tzeentch into the south, fighting the Lizardmen (presumably O&G as well).

Third expansion is Slaanesh into the East, fighting ‘elves’ (presumably High Elves and Dark Elves).

Forth expansion is Khorne into the North.

Note that there will probably be 2 books per chaos god, and there may not always be a book with chaos in, if there is something significant happening somewhere else in the world that has some bearing on the overall story.

Note: they seem to be making models based on what they wright the books about.

Can someone explain what exactly warhammer forge is. Is it models and rule books?

Warhammer Forge is like Forge World

It's set in an alternate universe to the WHFB universe. The company will make several books which have background and rules in for some of the models. The models themselves are resin and contain some much larger things than normal, as well as extra detailed models.

Generally most of the models are based on what will show up in the campaign, though some are just randomly added (like the Carmine Dragon)

give us some long range firepower. some strange ancient magical machine (like EOTG) with a 48"-60" range :) may be mounted on some kind of a horrible dragon turtle or so...
Or mounted on the Thunder Lizard subspecies? :D

Stegadon chariots and Carnosaurs with Saurus handlers, those ideas are genius IMO

What is the point of a stegadon chariot exactly? We have Stegadons with Howdah's on, a clearly superior and more effective design, not to mention the issues that come with trying to use such a thing in jungle terrain...WHF will be there to make all the beasty models that GW won't/can't.

A coatl would be awesome. A Monster-Lord-Mage with rules like those:
