TOW vanguard vs scout for skinks

so, I see a lot of people choosing vanguard instead of scout for their blob of skinks.
I would like to know why since I do not get a lot of ideas why vanguard would be better.

I personally like to have 2 blobs of 15 skinks in scout mode in order to hunt turn 1 war machines and other important units.
What would be the idea of having vanguard?

*With Vanguard, your units are deployed normally. So you have more units to put on the table and thus get to counter your opponents deployment more easily

*Vanguard move is usually enough to get you in range to start throwing your javelins

*Cheaper. Sometimes that's the only place to get those extra points

I personally like running 1xscouting unit and 1xvanguard unit.

Well try to place 10/15 skinks as scout and not be in charge range turn 1… good luck

that’s reason I prefer chameleon (they are only 5) or vanguard
