8th Ed. Unfathomable Presence?

Is this pointless/useless now? With the way 8th edition works, the MR(3) would just give you a 4+ Ward save, which the Slann has anyways. Am I missing something?

Actually, MR stacks with Wards, so it'll give you a 2+ ward against magic, not to mention the 4+ ward for the TG whats really useless is the 4+ regen discipline lol

Really? I thought it didn't stack. Can you give me a page number or something? 2+ Ward makes up for not being able to take any armor....

Sorry, don't have the book on me, but if you look up magic res I'm pretty certain its there. You can thus have, with Divine Plaque as well, a 2+ against shooting and a 2+ against magic, stick him in a TG block and he's pretty much immune to CC... just got to watch out for characteristic-test spells then!

just read the section about magic resistance in the special rules. it does add to any existing ward save, but a roll of 1 always fails (so no 0+ ward saves )
