what weapons are you giving the saurus? also, IMO extra handlers for hunting packs are worth their weight in gold :)
 
Hand weapon (and shield)
parry is always good and i prefer it than 5 more attacks str4.
i agree for extra handlers , is more attacks on cc , and more randomize also on wounds we suffer :)

Not to mention avoiding loosing all your handlers when you misfire and roll a 5 or 6...
 
I find 2 lightly equipped slanns less effective than one tooled up slann. At 2400 points I find the compromises too much.

One constructive point, I tend to find splitting sallamander packs into the maximum number allowed works better then concentrating them in a unit. I would run your 3/10 pack as a 1/4 and a 2/6.
