AoS True dhar and dark elves?

Did the elves stop use true dhar? Why is they aligned with order?
Not that I complain, it's fun to be able to use them in mixed order armies, but why did they align?

That part, I get. Also the new Phoenix King. But the Dark Elven magic should still be dhar?

"order" allegiance doesn't mean "good", they're merely allies of convienience. To list all grand allegiances:

Destruction: factions who live just for a good fight and do not care if civilization exists or not as long as they get to punch someone in the face
Undeath: Well the undeath.
Chaos: the followers of chaos who basicly just want to destroy everything, again.
Order: Everyone who wants to actually build a civilization & is alive. This civilization may or may not include horrific things like slave labor and living sacrifices.
