Tomb kings/Egyptian inspiration megathread.

If I were to get into Tomb Kings, these would definitely be my Ushabti pick, great-looking models that look more like statues than the bone-construct GW ones, and vastly cheaper at less than £10 for 3 on OnlyGames. 3D-printing still has some way to go to beat other media for value when it comes to the rank-and-file, but its charge-per-model policy is great for things that are purchased and fielded in smaller numbers like monsters, Monstrous Infantry/Cavalry and lone chariots.

I really like these, better see than the gw ones.

Blasphemy! :D

GW ones are nice but these look more regal. Definitely would look nice without the riders in a Mortuary list.

To each their own I suppose.

I without a doubt prefer the GW ones to these, especially where the Necroserpents are concerned - the overly-large fangs on these ones look a little goofy to me (though I like the headdresses of the riders, particularly the Red Crown of Lower Egypt worn by the one on the left).

But for me the ones that are really at a tie with the GW ones are these (One Page Rules again):

For me the tongues on the serpents are silly and they look alive which isn't my favorite for a TK model. For the models, I said I like, the riders really look great and less snake Surfer. I like the GW ones but prefer that esthetic. Part of the hobby that I love is that there are so many options out there, now, that individual taste can give us varied armies. Before I got married and lost my extra hobby money I had planned on making a living TK army with Egyptian models from several companies as my units. Same rules but flavored as before undead. Sadly that is an expense I can no longer afford but the idea of it is still one thing that excites me about our hobby.
