I have in this hobby a long time. Once upon a time I had a large Dogs of War army, and a larger Dark Elf army, both long since (mostly) sold off. Before Old World was announced, I began scrounging up minis from ebay and other places, in part because a friend wanted to play 6th/7th ed WFB...

That... never happened.

In the process though, I dug through my storage bins and found several things I never sold off, other things I wanted to add to, and so forth. At the moment, I have:

Orcs and Goblins: At least 3000 points (1000 of which is JUST goblins on wolves or wolf chariots - seriously, 45 goblin wolf riders including 5 heroes, and 2 chariots, one of which has a shaman riding it), including the aforementioned goblin wolf riders, 30+ boar boyz, 3 boar chariots, 2 wyvern riders (one of which is the 5th ed Azhag the Slaughterer sculpt on the snakey wyvern), and one - count it one - rock lobba.

Beastmen: About 1000 points, including 10 custom-converted centigors.

Lizardmen: ...I like Age of Sigmar, but most of my collection doesn't work for AoS since it is mostly older models - I have, in fact, none of the new units for AoS in my lizardman force - so I'm starting to rebase them for Old World. Probably close to 2000 points, I haven't bothered to check, and way more heroes than I need.

aaaaand then we have the Renegade Crowns. A newer list, but one that reminds me of the Dogs of War army I ran for several years, from early 5th edition wfb up until I sold them off during mid to late 7th edition. The list has been out for about a year, and I already have three different subfactions of Renegade Crowns.

Marienburg: Half metal sculpts from Mordheim and half modified plastic Bretonnian Men-At-Arms, this is not quite 1000 points, all infantry and captains (no mages, no artillery).

Hobgoblins: Yes, you read that right, Hobgoblins. I've got Ghazakh Khan as my Mercenary Prince, old big-hat Chaos Dwarf hobgoblins with axes as heavy cavalry, and a mix of old and new sculpts as hobgoblin infantry. Also one very very old Heartbreaker "Goblin Rocket Launcher" to use as a mortar. Again, about 1000 points.

Frostgrave Gnolls: I bought a lot of these on sale a while ago, with the intention of making a (literal) "Dogs" of War army using the 6th edition 'generic mercenary' lists. Turns out they work for Renegade Crowns as well. Little undersized for Old World, but I'm fine with that. 95% infantry, hyena/dog packs, light cavalry, and one ballista. Probably closer to 1200 points.

Why Old World and not 8th (or some other) edition? Because that is what people locally are playing, and I like the bigger base sizes. Ranking minis up on the smaller bases was always a little tricky and while transporting the bigger base minis is a little annoying, I find getting them to line up to be less stressful. Also easier to hold while I'm painting. :meh:
