Before any sets out on hunt, one most make a plan.

A more important question is; did you pack your silver sword?
Just to be on the safe side, add some garlic, a wooden stake, a mirror, a big dose of sunlight and a streaming river as well...

The administration at the keep strongly advises against riding out into the dark night and fumbling around blindly. It would be playing right into their hands, we have no idea what numbers reside out there. We must wait until morning to investigate and send out scouts.


OOC: Shall we get the real party started, or want to wait a bit longer to see if anyone else joins? I'm in favour of going to day 2 and letting people join until the end of day 2 since I can easily throw out a couple more interesting roles.

As for the garlic and the wooden, I've come prepared with that, as well as other things. As for the rest...well that is impossible, and your mockery is not welcomed.

Killing them now or tomorrow makes no difference to me they will still die! Maybe if we are lucky even more will come, my blade has not seen blood for a while and she is hungry for it.

But for now drinking and eating are my top priority and nothing will stop me from that. Not even a few mangy puppies!

Drunken chatter and unrest lasts long into the night until the final lord passes out, and the final candle is extinguished.


Day 2 is beginning now, which means all those with roles are now able to use them! Night will fall in 4 days time! You can vote today if you want to, but I imagine there is very little to go on thus far.

An alarm rudely and loudly awakens many of gathered lords just after daybreak. Two convoys on their way to the meeting are found a kilometer down the road; bodies littered everywhere and caravans shattered. The lords of the convoy are nowhere to be seen.

The herald of the keep addresses the gathering in the main hall. 'This is clearly the beginning. Silent hunters of the night taking advantage of weakness where they see it and striking out, sending fear through our ranks, there will be a vampire coming! In fact, he could even be walking among you, so stay on your guard.

We should investigate the convoy should we not? See what clues we can find amongst the wreckage. Try to see what we are up against exactly.
 
The convoy was obviously attacked by the undead forces. The whole scene stinks of necromancy.
Lord Craken, I would advise that searching through the convoy would require us to first search through the surrounding area, and ask the locals here if they know what may have happened.
But nonetheless we must find the one guilty of slaying the convoy and bring him before the mercy of Sigmar.
 
Lords, are you sure there are no survivors from the convoy. Did people check for trails? Because if the pack was small enough, say four wolves / undead, there might be some survivors.

OOC: This is the only thread, I am doing things a little differently this time around. Go back to the first post, skip until after the quoted section, and have a read.
You can be one of the above mentioned potential survivors of the convoy. ;) I don't mind if you are one of the lords or a soldier or whatever, up to you.



crimsontide spoke the sensible words among the lords to search for traces of survivors. A bloodied piece of torn cloth is spotted on a tree near the scene. Given the apparent ferocity of the attack, something must have spooked the beasts for them not to chase down the survivor.

Horses are sent along the path to find the survivor, as the afternoon sun sets in.

Back OT:
What could scare undead beasts so? I pray to Sigmar for the survivor to be found, the more arms to destroy the undead taint in this area the better.
Let us hope that next time we get to spill some undead blood, aye? *gulps ale*
 
The generals suddenly heard the telltale sounds of a galloping horse, and turned to see what the commotion was about.

A figure, completely encased in silver armour, rode atop a mighty warhorse towards them. He came within a few metres before completely stopping, and dismounting from his steed, which one of his squires attended to. Turning his attention to the other lords, his large greatsword still on his back, he spoke.

"Greetings comrades. I am the lord, or, as my own city calls it, the Revered Guardian of the city of Ketave. I have come to offer my assistance, just as the message asked....what has happened here before I arrived? Some of you look as pale as ghosts."
 
"Pale as ghosts eh?, who says that; Oh almighty shiny Revered Guardian of...Ketawhat?"

The Baron was in a dreadful mood, the ales had some accountance in that.

"Pfwah!"

"The Undead, or Wolves, or Ghosts or whatever, obviously didn't like this flesh. In fact, I think they got sick of it.
Even WereWolves prefer the better meat, which in that case; I should be fine!"

Wow, 45 minutes late. That is pretty close! Here comes the end of day two!

As the sun decides this day is too boring for it and heads down into the sea, the lords return to the keep glad to have found a survivor but no closer to locating the source of the undead menace. More farmers are are rounded up and asked to camp in the keep for safety during the night. The lords begin to talk among themselves, The Hunted quickly resumes his place from the previous night in front of the bar, and soon notices that his newfound friend, the archduke KroxigorsFTW is nowhere to be found!
A seach of the keep and questioning of the stableboys suggests he didn't return with the group. As the gates to the keep begin to shut, the last of the farmers move through and one of them is leading KroxigorsFTW's horse!
"I found tha' thar horse spookin' in me out'a field"
Mutters the farmer. Blood is found on the saddle, markings suggest he was stabbed in the back as he rode.

A sober (not for The Hunted) silence falls over the group.


Day 3 begins now! Discuss, let your suspicions known, consider the undead as well as the new threat of a murderer.

OOC: Just in case it wasn't clear in my first post or if people didn't read it, since people are PMing me during the day and putting marks in posts during the day, there isn't going to be an allocated night time since that just makes an unnatural pause in the game. Hopefully things will move smoother and easier and people will stay interested.

The Baron clearly has trouble speaking. Keeping his balance is usually his main priority,
although the last few minutes; no more ale went in.

"Arr Silver Ghost, he came to the party. Righty?"

With the distinct noise of a drunk man falling to earth, Baron the Hunted fell to earth.
