AoS Thinking of going to my first tournament...

There wasn't a limit on the rounds, but an actual time limit of 3 hours per game. "chess clock rules," they called it. I haven't gotten good enough to just rip through everything that fast, lol! I still take an average of 4 hours per game with my friends/family who play, and we usually end up calling it by turn 4...
i ment 3 rounds in the tournament. you fought 3 armies normal is 5.
as for fast play you just need to know what you are doing before your turn starts. you have 20 ish minutes to mull it over and then it's go time.
 
Got ya. Well, just shows that I still have a lot of work to do on improving! Now that the whole covid thing is more or less over they're going to be having smaller events like this somewhat regularly, so I'll definitely be going again!
 
I came up with a new list I wanted to try. I tested it out on TTS vs the same Ironjawz list that wrecked me in the tournament and I wiped them in turn 3. Here's what I'm thinking of taking to the next tournament, I'd love to hear people's thoughts on this one:

I deployed in a castle around the Realmshaper but used the terrain and Knights to keep the Maw-Krushas off my Realmshaper and key units in their turn 1 blitz. Countered hard and even though I didn't get the double-turn I still took them down. Engine getting Curse off, Kroak blasting away with Celestial Deliverance after everything came into range, and having the Salamanders with rend -2 really helped get through those 3+ and 2+ save Maw-Krushas.
