Thinking of 2021

Yesterday I had a very good day. The roadwork near my apartment complex that prevented me from easily driving south was finally completed. I liked the number I saw when I weighed myself on a scale. I had two nice meals, a job interview was scheduled for later, and I had a nice visit with friends.

I thought of this quote from Young Justice, my favorite contemporary animated show.

Will 2021 be as asterous year? What would an asterous year look like?

The most ridiculously wonderful thing I can come up with is that research on Covid leads to a breakthrough understanding of the nature of viruses in general eventually leading to a Star Trek-like "anti-viral" medicine that can be used to treat all viruses.

Something more plausible is that Hollywood woke culture breaks down. What I'd really like to see (and it may be happening) will take longer than a year to come to fruition. I would like to see Hollywood break and decentralize itself into smaller companies through the nation. I would really like to see more small niche films that take risks and fewer safe sanitized blockbusters.

I think some creatives being quarantined for so long could lead to a small artistic Renaissance. Some garage inventor may create something practical that could advance us technologically.

I kind of want to see the CCP will start breaking apart, but when/if it does, people will die, so I'm not sure I should be rooting for that.

I would consider this done for 2021 to be an asterous year. I think it would be more along the lines of procedures or a product that effectively elimantes viruses and germs easily and without the need for masks, gloves, distancing, etc. I don't think we'd come up with a cure for all germs/viruses but, hey, I'd love to see it.

Can't think much further than this right now in terms of other things to make it an asterous year.

I kind of want to see the CCP will start breaking apart, but when/if it does, people will die, so I'm not sure I should be rooting for that.

Somehow I can't see this and am very curious.

It's on Netflix in Canada or Japan so if you have a Netflix a VPN could help you watch it. It's also on DVD. For me, I subscribed to DC Universe for the sole purpose of watching Young Justice (though the hundreds of PDFs of comics are nice).

Since Warner Brothers owns HBO and DC Comics/studios they have been slowly posting a more than a few things that used to be DC Universe exclusives on HBO Max. DC Universe is turning into "DC Universe Infinite" which is supposed to have even more comic PDFs. My guess is that when they complete this transition, Young Justice and DC Universe other top shelf IP is going to go on HBO Max.

As I said before, my goal is to become the world's oldest man. I'm only 37 years old, but when I was born I was in last place and I've shot up like a billion places since then.

I want to see woke culture in general break down, plus street culture to disappear, as it mutilates people’s cultural knowledge and understanding.

Turning a country from right-wing to left-wing (or vice versa) doesn’t necessarily fix the existing problems with it, but it definitely creates new ones.

I would like to see the rise of a musical genius, or someone BIG (Queen / U2 / Pink Floyd level), able to bring something new and fresh on a world wide scale.
