The Ultimate Transformers Thread

US continuity. I am a child of North America!

My only experience with Transformers was watching the old school cartoon back in the day. I also watched the live action movies, but I'm not at all a fan of those.

This is the same for me: watching the TV series on Saturday mornings, watched the cartoon movie and watched the first three live-action movies but got a bit bored with them.

Had a mahrlect-load of transformers toys when I was a kid. Fantastic stuff.

I don't know, there were certain parts of first Michael Bay movie that I liked. At the beginning, when the helicopter Decepticon (Blackout) shows up at the military base, there is a great battle. At that point, I thought the movie was going to be great. It went downhill after that for me. But, there are parts of the final battle that are at least watchable (if you can figure out which robot is which).

I enjoyed the first movie a lot.

The second less, the third even less and I couldn't bring myself to watch the rest.

Has anyone watched this new manga-ish CGI movie?

I'd like to know if it's worth watching or not.

For the most part I would agree with everyone that the live action Transformers films are utter rubbish, however, there is one aspect of them (alongside the fact that they bring in millions for other Transformers stuff) that is up there with the best...

You don’t happen to know what it’s called do you?

Be gentle... I may have misduplicated whether it is new or not...

It's on Netflix and is called Transformers: War for Cybertron.

I'm not familiar with the whole list but who would anyone want to have Decepticons without Megatron?

Nobody, that's who.
