4th Edition Fantasy was in 1992, so that was also after the 80s.

Whups, my bad, missed one.

Thus in the 80s people didn't even say 'Army Book', because back then Fantasy was just one rulebook with any army able to include units from different races (so long as they were in the same Alignment) without penalty.

True. Or 'Codex,' in reference to 40K, though codex just means 'fancy book,' so that word was in use. Rarely. In computer games, like Ultima 4's Codex of Ultimate Wisdom.

Other things people didn't say in the 80s doubtlessly include:
CGI

Nerp, CGI was really, really, really, crude, but it existed in the late 80's. Weird Al's UHF came out in '89, and had crude early CGI attempts in it.

Digital/Satellite TV

Yeah, it was cable tv back then.

Obese

Nerp, all in use back then, just not for current usage. Amazon is still a river and rainforest, tablet is another name for pill. Tiktok is the sound old clocks made, and doctors still used to call people obese. Rap music is an invention of the late 80's, and I was calling it (c)rap back then depending on the song. A lot of early rap was pretty good though. Also, 'to rap' meant to lightly tap on something, usually with your knuckles.

Not forgetting all the vile slang that has emerged in the past couple of decades:
Wicked
Rad
Sick
Bangin'
Cool
Hoe
Swag
Gangsta

I'll give you gangsta, since that was a 90's thing, but all of those words were in use in the 80's, just not their current slang usages, except for Cool. That one has been around as slang for a LONG time. Pretty sure it was in use in the 50s. But all the rest of those have other meanings. Rad is a measure of radiation, sick... is obvious..., bangin' was usually used after the word 'head' as a kind of dance. Hoe is a garden tool, swag is just loot but also means 'to tension or tighten a cable.'
