I like the Maw-Krusha way better without all the tech, but it is done pretty good to be honest.

I see a story behind this. Durthu is asleep, minding his own business and some drunk elves come down on Christmas eve and choose a random "tree" to decorate for their Christmas party. After several hours of partying, throwing up on the tree and pissing on him then he wakes up. Not only does he have to deal with the drunken elves, but he has Christmas decs all over him. (Think of all of the GLITTER)

He's not happy on a general basis. Now he's REALLY not happy.

Especially when the lights don't work and has to go through each bulb to find the one that's blown......(Sorry, am I showing my age here....)

Unless you're unlucky, then the candle goes out. Or worse, it lights something else on fire and burns your house down.

Also it was not uncommon for the nails to just kind of... sag... instead of falling out properly sometimes.
