I find it really interesting just how quickly nature reclaims things that aren't actively maintained. There used to be a show about it (the name eludes me at the moment). Each episode they would take a look a a place or set of structures and discuss what would happen to them if all human beings disappeared today. For instance how long would skyscrapers stand? What would be left of New York in a year? 10 years? 1000 years? A million years? etc.You've got a real post-apocalyptic vibe going there buddy!

Yup... I think that was the one.The History Channel had a series called Life After People. A hypothetical world where humans just vanish. They cover how various landmarks and whatnot would be overtaken by nature. It was interesting for a while but they dragged it out too long. I like the domesticated cows which go feral and kind of become the new buffalo. I wanted to see more of that.

I think it is real, I've found several different pictures of it from different vantage points...
