I have seen these before, my brother was thinking of getting one. It would save a lot of time as compared to using a regular knife or blade.

It definitely will. Also it will give you much cleaner cuts. And the ability to cuts weird angles very easy.

There are also a bunch of after market jigs and other accessories available for it that allow for the easy production of complex shapes.
